Why I think dbd needs to stick with horror licenses first.
I think instead of adding dark vadar and all these goofy killer license in the game we should focus on the more iconic classic horror. We still have a full and whole list of iconic horror to go. We still need Jason in the game and if we can’t get him find another iconic horror like The Thing, Candyman etc. We should focus a lot horror icon licenses first. We have the Walking dead, Sam and Dean from supernatural. Theres a long list of things we need in the game to keep the horror aspect. Who agrees

I think horror-adjacent is fine. I also don't think we need to strictly stick to horror/horror-adjacent for survivor, since the survivor gameplay doesn't change when a new survivor is introduced.
Killer gameplay changes based on the killer's power. This is why I think it's important to stick to horror, or at least horror-adjacent IPs. That said, there's nothing wrong with non-horror IPs as cosmetics. I think it'd be fine for something like Darth Vader as a cosmetic for a killer. I do like that the devs put their own twist on things that aren't horror to make them horror-inspired, so it's not like it can't work. Just not my preference.

We need pumpkinhead, I don't know what they would do but more people need to know about pumpkinhead.

They still have killers who are on Terrordrome roster, but not DBD. Darth Vader coming to DBD would be DISASTEROUS and a direct spit in the face to the last remaining players who actually give a damn about the game being about horror icons. I agree, but unfortunately there are little-to-few real horror fans still playing the game, and we're outnumbered by non-horror fans playing the game who don't care about the game's identity. They want it to just be another Fortnite poop-culture cross-over game with any recognizable name, and don't care about horror or the genre itself, only that the killer looks cool or is recognizable. Pumpkinhead or Pennywise would be my choice for getting back to more adult horror.

ehhh if you didn't know The Thing and CandyMan are 2 licenses that i know of that DBD decided to blacklist and will likely never be brought into DBD. I don't know the reasons why, but the devs likely have a very good reason why they're excluded.
Also yes keep the killers primarily horror icons.

Do you have a source for that? The Thing I can understand, due to its only logical power being useless against SWFs. But why Candyman?

The problem is that bringing more classic movie killers into the game isn't as likely to bring new players in as characters from other genres.
People who like Jason and Candyman are likely to have also been interested in Leatherface and Michael Myers so if they were going to try the game, they probably already did.
Vecna, Springtrap, Dracula, Tokyo Ghoul and Darth Vader all bring in potential new audiences, as suggested by the huge influx of players when Resident Evil was added.

Supernatural? That seems to fall into the horror adjacent category you are trying to avoid.

Took me forever to find it in all the massive history log i got. Not sure if i should even post it since it's a channel that goes over possible leaks.
CONFIRMED Southeast Asia Killer, Darth Vader in Talks, and Stranger Things News - Dead by Daylight

It mostly goes over leaks so take everything with a grain of salt, CandyMan being blacklisted was listed with no explanation why. I guess it would be similar to The Thing it's not because of the character itself, but likely because of the actions of the real-world people have done that owns those characters.
