Is anyone surprised by their official stats?
Maybe your escape rate is more or less than you expected? Maybe your kill rate is higher or lower than you expected?

I don't know. I see "account linking" so I'm a bit wary of it.

As a killer, I almost always give last hatch, and if the survivors have a troll DCer or otherwise have a really bad match, I usually back off and let them have a heal party and escape. As a survivor, instead of escaping always, I usually risk my win in order to get other survivors out the door, or if the killer got stomped, I offer myself to be sacrificed as a sort of pity offering. My stats are effectively "corrupted" for being a nice guy, so I'm not even bothering to check.

I am mainly surprised by how low the hours seem to be. Since it only tracks the time in the actual trial, I realized that I spend A LOT of time not really playing the game but being in the Lobby or Loading Screens.
Killrate is what I expected, most of the time around 60%, slighly above. My most successful Killer is one of my most hated ones (with Hag, I knew I am decent with her, but around 70% Killrate was a bit surprising). Not surprised that Singularity was my worst Killer, I am too dumb for it.
15 -
My escape rate is quite a bit above the average but I do not believe it's actually that high since it contradicts the stats I track for myself. I assume they just aren't counting any games where someone disconnects? Similar to when they release kill rates I guess.

The math isn't adding up. It says my global stats are only 3k hours. I know the cut off point is September 2020, but I just checked my PS5 stats and it says I have 2.6k hours. I got my PS5 at Christmas 2022. I know I played a lot more than 400 hours on my PS4 between September 2020 and Christmas 2022. I've been a regular Dbd player since 2017.
The hours on my top killer and survivor don't make sense either.
4 -
Low hours, for sure.
Barely made 1000.
Kill Rate is about what I thought, 88-90%. Survival Rate is higher than expected, 60%
3 -
I dont think all the stats are accurate for everyone cause i played more then 50 hours of nemesis and it says i played 2. Also my played hours are 120 when i have steam hours of 1200 and im either always ingame or in queue, so there is no way those stats are correct
3 -
PS5 stats count any time your logged into the game. Think about anytime you've left the game running while afk at the menu screen or you've been waiting to get into a match. These official stats only count time in the match, while ALSO not counting alternate gamemodes or custom matches.

I was convinced Pyramid Head would be my deadliest killer, and he's up there at 73%, but for some reason Freddy out of everyone (and consider I've been playing him since he was the weakest killer in the game twice) is outmugging everyone at 81.
Also, BBQ is still my #1 most used killer perk of all time, despite me never using it since 6.1.0 took it out back and shot it. Fly high my prince
2 -
I'm surprised by my own success, lol. I know I suck at survivor, but APPARENTLY my escape rate is significantly above the 40% average they're aiming for.

Yeah, I am also not really sure about the hours the more I think about it. My most played Survivor is Nea, but I only playex her for around 770 hours. This sounds low.
For Killer it is Billy, which would be correct, but I only played him for around 64 hours. And especially before Overheat there was a time where I played only Billy for weeks and no other Killer.

My escape rate is what I expected, at around 35% (which is what BHVR said it was the last time we got those stats).
But my Killer stats are a bit of a surprise, though. On my main Legion I only have a 51% Kill rate with them (for a 44% pick rate). I thought it might be higher than that, but I do admit I don't play all that sweaty, regularly let the last Survivor escape or give them hatch. I could probably get that number a little higher if I played more "seriously". I wonder if sharing cross progression between Switch and PC affects this rate as well (I often lose very badly on Switch).
My old main Myers has a shockingly low 40% kill rate, but then again I only really play him for jump scares.
I do hope a future version of the stats site will also include modifier mode stats. I feel like my stats don't tell the whole story, because if a modifier is live I will play that and barely touch the regular mode.
3 -
Given that i exclusively play solo queue as survivor i expected by escape rate to be lower, but its almost 46% right now (for my main). Which is pretty surprising.
My escape rate as mikaela being 8.33% is prety funny, althoughi only played 12 games with her.
Also my most played killer being nemesis is weird, but i do think i had a big farming session with him during the anniversary event when it was going on since i generally play the same killer a bunch when they release for at least 50+ games, and i remember that anniversary being particularly active and playing a bunch, and since i was leveling nemesis i just had (and still do have) infinite cakes.
And my lowest kill rate killer was Houndmaster at 64% which again feels weird, but i played her mostly at release where she had a ton of bugs, so i'm guessing i lost a lot more games than i realized with her.
My kill rates for my non-top tier killers are way higher than i expected. My average kill rate is around 80%.

I'm well aware of that, but it still doesn't add up. Even if I took 10-15 minute breaks in between games (I don't) it would still be way off the mark. I don't play the alternate game modes except to complete the challenges. I never play custom games.
These stats are off. I've seen a lot of people noticing it too.

I'm confused by my hours I have over 3k according to steam, but dbd says I have a little over 1k with killer and survivor together in matches, I don't believe I was 2k hours afk or waiting xD
Also I'm pretty much the average bhvr wanted I have just over 60% killrate with 61,39%, my top 5 killer that are huntress, blight, pig (lol), chucky and wesker have a killrate of 61,83% average xD
Oh and my top-perk is bbq with 62,09% pickrate and 61,63% killrate xDD

My deadliest killer is Pig with 82,5% kill rate somehow 🐽
Also surprised not to see how many gens repaired overall, because If divide number of generators from unofficial stats by the number of matches played in the official stats, then I fix an average of 9 generators per match.1 -
It only has data back from september 1, 2020? so anything before that isn't included.
Also i think for times it is specifically counting time in the match. Steam counts time in queue, and waiting in lobby, or doing other stuff.

My highest kill rate is Pig (from 20+ hours killers), which I really wouldn't have guessed, because I am really willing to go for Boop the snoot.
Otherwise kill rates and playtimes are what I would guess.0 -
Diabolical that I have 3K hours in queue/lobbies if true
2 -
Question; What is everyone's longest chase? Mine is 2 minutes and 13 seconds.
2 -
Think about what you could be doing with a 3k hour refund. 🤣

I expected Trapper to be my number 1 followed by Trickster, but instead its actually: Trickster, Hillbilly, then Trapper.
My Trapper days were mostly back when I had a dorito of a PC which was between mid 2017 (when I first started) and late 2019. So it makes sense
1 -
I mean I only play since 2021 so it has to have everything. But I still don't believe I was 2k hours in queue and things, but then again it also doesn't count event-queues at all xD

Same here, that was the biggest surprise to me.
It is actually insane.
I spent almost two thirds of my Steam playtime total with not actually playing the game, but scrolling through tomes and quests, doing perk builds, watch the ingame shop, waiting for games, levelling up and so on and so on.
On the other hand it clearly states that time limited events (Chaos Shuffle and 2v8) aren't included, so it somewhat is distorted anyways.

jeryl is still my #1 survivor by a huuuuge margin even tho Min is my prestige 100. wow. wow.
I miss my child...

I can't speak for you, but I know personally as I'm scrolling through the forums right now...but game is up and AFK. Leaving the game running in the background isn't abnormal for me.
The stats though definitely have some oddities though. I'm looking at my total survivor matches vs my survivor emblems for example. SOMEHOW I have more survivor emblems in 3 out of 4 categories than I have survivor matches played.
0 -
Lobby time probably doesn't count, that's all.
0 -
Yeah you just know based on your own personal experience of how much time you've put into the game and certain characters that the math isn't adding up.
I thought maybe I was over estimating myself at first, even when comparing it to my official Playstation hours. But then I started seeing lots of other people say the same thing. So either we're all imagining it or the website isn't as accurate as we'd like.
2 -
IDK what's up but my stats aren't compiling at all. As if I don't have any stats even though I've been playing since 2020. I wonder if anyone else is having this issue.
0 -
Only reason this didn't surprise me is because I was use to similar time disparity in other games. Warframe for example tracks time spent, but only IN MISSION...which is a real eye opener once ppl realize just how much time they spend mindlessly jumping around on their ship or staring at chat, tweeking their builds, decorating things...

It's just plain wrong for me lol. Seems to only track back to Kaneki's release in terms of the numbers you see. I'll update this tomorrow since it takes 24 hours for synced stats to update.

Not really surprised. Survivor escape rates in the low to mid 40’s and kill rates in the mid 50’s to mid 60’s depending on the killer. I am a casual player and definitely feel like being around the average escape/kill rates is about right for me.
The key learning for me is that those who love to come here to claim that the game is massively killer sided or survivor sided probably just need to get better at the game. I have a busy full time job and busy family life with wife and kids, so I don’t have a lot of free time to play. I’m not a naturally gifted video game player. If a very casual player like me can perform around the averages, then anyone should be able to.
2 -
Sadly I played a lot of Billy before 2020 so it puts him in least played killers
1 -
Yeah its only counting regular 1v4 mode. You have to figure the average dbd match is probably 10 minutes. Steam starts counting as soon as you launch the game. if you spend 30-60 secondsi n queue, then naother 60 seconds in lobby, then loading screens, buying stuff in the bloodweb, it makes sense honestly.
2 -
Well I guess you're right, at least it's better by now: loading screens are faster and bloodwebs as well, queue is also relatively short most of the time. Most of those hours are probably are while back xD

Yeah! I smell BS! Because all of my stats that are tracked on Xbox are completely different from this new track stats say from the devs.

I haven't played since the Halloween event or the 2v8 before they tried having bot fills (forget which was more recent) so just looking at all time stats. I do find it funny how far off the DBD stats have for time played v what my playstation says. I know a large chunk is time in matches v time in lobbies/menus but I think there's a large chunk of stats missing from DC matches, especially when I look at my killer stats.
Knowing they start in 2000 makes sense why my survivor character pick rate is the way it is. If it was since I started playing in 2018 the top 3 would definitely be in a different order and there are other survivors that would be much higher up on the list. Kind of funny I stopped using self care unless there was a self care challenge back when it was changed in the big perk rework but it's still listed as my #1 pick by alot. Kind of wish the escape rate showed what it was when I played with friends v when I play solo.
My killer stats seem off, I think because I would play killer less than survivor it makes it more noticeable. I have a low kill rate which is 100% my doing because I would let people go most of my matches unless I had a sacrifice challenge to complete. It's the hours and the character pick rates that seem off. I knew it would be low since I would play survivor more often than killer but 106 hours and 591 matches for killer seems a bit too low. At the very least I would've played killer to complete killer tome challenges, during events when all the killer had to do was not DC for rewards, and if a daily challenge popped up I could complete with a killer I enjoyed playing. I think I may have had more matches with a survivor DC than I realized because that's the only reason I can think of why my pick rate/hours for certain killers seems so off. Doctor is #1 pick, it's the only one that makes sense since I use him for easy BP farming. My Trapper being #3 with only 8 hours played (nearly 30 hours less time than Doctor) doesn't make sense to me when he is my favorite killer and I definitely played him for way more than 8 hours - I thought he'd be #2 with hours closer to Doctor. When I play Trapper I do get alot of DCs (usually after someone steps in trap for first time) so that is the only explanation I can think of for why my Trapper hours are so low compared to Doctor.
Also found it weird that is says I played 591 killer matches and I only kicked 118 gens but I broke 948 walls. That means somehow in atleast 473 matches I didn't kick a single gen, that doesn't seem right at all. The only times I would've not kicked even a single gen would've probably been the times I was trying to get a random tome challenge done that required using a killer power I'm terrible with and didn't bother trying to kick atleast one gen, but there weren't 473 matches worth of those challenges. I never experienced the gen rush squads that prevented me from getting any gen kicks in. If the Doctor is my #1 pick with a 26% pick rate then 26% of the time I was going in to farm for BP, which would've included kicking atleast 1 gen (usually more) every match I played with him.

I'm mostly surprised that it uses my Epic Games account name, which got randomly assigned to me
I obviously changed it years ago, but apparently that never went through.
1 -
honestly, I hope they give some clarification on those. Me escaping 44% - only in my dreams
0 -
i also suspect that. Do they at least count in matches where DC wasn’t penalized?? Having a 7 match loose streak is a norm in soloQ, my over 40% escape rate is sone cherry picked BS

Overall stats are about what I expected
Escape Rate: 42%
Kill Rate: 71%
It's the specifics that are surprising like I have equal playtime about on my mains Sable and Lara but vastly different escape rates on them 48.5% and 37.25% respectively. That might have something to do with the fact I run different perks on them which leads to another surprise which is I escape way more using aura and healing perks and escape far less when I use exhaustion and more traditional chase perks like windows and finesse.
I suppose my take away is I'm good at strategizing and having game sense when I have information and I am absolutely not a juicer.
Also my one survivor perk with an above 50% escape Rate? Kindred.
Technically Dark Sense does too but I haven't been using it long enough for it to be statically relevant but I'm definitely gonna be using it more to see if that holds. However I do use Wicked a lot and that has a 49% escape rate and I maintain it's the most slept on survivor perk in the game.
On the killer side nothing too notable but Hag and Artist both being 80%+ kill Rate for me is very funny considering how often I hear people say they both suck.

I'd say I'm surprised, but since the "I'm a Human" CloudFlare check constantly errors out and I can't even get in to it, I'm somehow not surprised at all. The devs found a way to even keep even a simple website from working!

My stats seem wrong

My top Survivor is who I expected (Ash at 21.4 hours), but everyone else feels a bit off. Jonah and Vittorio, two characters I basically never play, are sitting at 2nd and 3rd with 14 and 11.5 hours.
And my top 3 Killers are NOTHING like I expected. I fully expected Doctor to be standing at number 1. After all, he's my highest level and been my main for years. And yet, my top 3 are actually Demogorgon (17.4 hours), Blight (16.7 hours), and Nurse (13.2 hours). Doc is sitting at 4th with 13.1 hours (though a lovely 71.03% kill rate, which is the highest, followed by Sadako and Skull Merchant at 70.65% & 70.45%).
I can kind of understand where Demo comes from, since there was a period of time where I played at least one Demo match each time I played when Stranger Things was gone, but I can't imagine it was THAT many. I guess the Blight hours are from the time when I actually enjoyed playing him, but I've NEVER enjoyed Nurse, so seeing her so high is kind of fascinating.
The hours are also kind of weird, but seeing as I've been playing since 2018, I can certainly understand some inaccuracies there. Definitely spending a lot more time than necessary in lobbies & menus compared to the game.
Everything else is about what I expected.
0 -
Yeah, if the stats are to be believed I've spent over a thousand hours in queue, which just seems weird.
3 -
Well whatever they did it doesn't seem to be only me, at least my hours are not weird like this then xD
0 -
I think its only adding time spent in Matches. Lobby/Queue doesn't count.
0 -
If that is true, then I've spent 3000 hours in queue/lobby
6 -
Yeah, then that wouldn't make sense. I don't know how its calculated, then again on Marvel Rivals It says I only have 200 hours of actual playtime in matches but playstation says I have 800 hours…I am curious.
0 -
Could be from my 2018-2020 years on DBD, but a lot of that was split between three accounts.
