Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

hot take: a lot of negativity comes from players that lack skill

first of all, while most of my matches have been on killer, survivor is my favourite role currently and is what i've played the most for last 7-ish months and the amount of negativity i witness to perks or how matches go both in game and on socials (mainly twitter), is crazy.

People give up so fast when they have THREE OR FOUR chase perks and still go down in 20 seconds to an M1 killer. Killers also DC so fast when they're literally intentionally playing awfully???

i had a match recently against a nemesis, he was hard tunneling another survivor to the point he didn't even wanna trade for the unhooker (he was camping too). After the tunneling victim got hooked for the second time, 2 gens were already done. I hid close to hook as the others did gen and around the last 10 seconds, he starts walking away thinking the victim won't be saved, i then shoulder the burden them and he immediately turns around and actually switches for me and i manage to outlast the exposed duration and he leaves me. match goes on like normal and the last gen pops and he immediately DC's???? Why are you gonna do this if you're intentionally ruining yourself by camping.

another example is a Nea teammate i had who gave up after going down to a Legion within about 20 seconds, she didn't get frenzy stabbed either so this Legion managed to just walk up to her normally and it wasn't like she was giving up (at first). She had: Finesse, WoO and Lithe. She lasted 20 seconds and immediately gave up on hook.

Like i don't get why people don't wanna get good at chase, i get maybe you enjoy hiding that's cool but chases are literally the main draw of this game😭 i'd expect people to put in more effort into that. Whenever i get hard tunnelled i rarely care because i'd much rather be in chase than on a gen. I'd rather get mad at my teammates who rescue way too early in those scenarios instead of waiting to waste as much time for the killer as possible.

Like imo people need to care less about if they die and more about the escape results of the team, the moment you focus on getting 3 or 2 man escapes instead of a full 4 man the game becomes so much more fun.
