Anyone else getting high DC penalty on first DC?
I just got a 5min DC penalty AND I lost a full grade, and I NEVER DC. Literally never… Isn't the first offense 1min? I got the most stable connection you can think of, it never loses connection, and I also never ever DC from the game on purpose...
New measures miserable? I sure am on the side of "yes" atm…
I will stop playing survivor if this is the new reality
PS: If you want to know why I DC… It was a 1000 ping killer. Thanks for punishing me, for leaving this literally unplayable match… (I don't count this as on purpose)
Edit: Just to elaborate why this P'd me of so much… I was ONE pip away from IRRI1, as in IRRI2 with 4 pips… and it took away all my pips, back to IRRI3… Anyone playing solo understands how hard it is to get points to even get pips at that level…

I can alrdy imagine these devs would make it THIS miserable to get through it… They are alrdy short on survivors to fill the Queues… I can't think of why they would do this…

Because they are short-sighted and literally hate their survivor players, even though we are their bread and butter.

Even though I am on the side of they hate killer players even more… in this instance I am 100% agreeing with you. This is very anti-survivor, and overall just very anti player.

If you say i never dc that means to never dc.
I have never dc´d ever myself. You usually can play every game and end it.

Yes "You can finish it"… but there is literally no point to it. Someone who hits you, obviously exploitively/blatantly on Free VPN or something, 5secs after you have vaulted a window or pallet, and you are looking at him from the other side, no idea what he's doing and suddenly you go down… No thanks I'm not playing that. I don't call that on purpose. That is just trying to evade a very toxic lobby.

Sometimes you get insanely high ping / lag for no obviously reason or something happens in the trial that bugs your power and makes the game unplayable. Thanks to the harsher penalty system, now all of us have to suffer through these trials to the end.
Having no penalty (or only a short 1 minute one) was handy for times like these, but players won't be able to DC out of these games anymore, because the punishment and further risk of racking up a lengthy DC ban is way too high.
If the devs are so insistent on putting players on the naughty step for bad behaviour, then so be it. But surely the system doesn't need to be as aggressive as it currently is.

UPDATE: I just had another very VERY unnecesary case of losing a rank FOR NO REASON AT ALL… I played a FULL match of 10+ minutes, I got a 25k score without even escaping… My repair score was maxed, had a few chases, few heals, few rescues… and at the end when I got killed as the LAST PERSON the game told me that I went next and thus lost a rank… Seriously @BHVR just killswitch it for now…
BTW: did you guys lie? I thought you had alrdy killswitched it???

Just happened for the 3rd time. I lost a rank for no reason. Now because I had a random disconnect due to the horrible DBD servers. Just add capacity to your servers if it cant handle Sundays… multiple times so far I have lost my IRRI 1 rank, having to regain my pips in solo lobbies… Because of complete unnecessary and unasked for mechanics…
@BHVR Just killswitch the thing, it is obviously working against you at this point and you are too cheap to add capacity… I literally lose all will to play the game.
The only reason you don't hear more about it is cause it doesn't tell you about it every time. Sometimes you get an error, sometimes you dont. The last time I had to actually check manually, and yup… lost IRRI 1 again… Many probably have no clue that they are losing ranks all the time.
