Recent Update Decisions

With the new Five Nights at Freddy's update, Dead by Daylight has already hit its peak player count within less than 24 hours. With that being said, the developers have made a lot of W's over the past few updates, especially for the newer players. However, there have been many questionable changes and additions to the game over the past few updates. Don't get me wrong, I don't blame the developers for taking risks and such, as from both a Game Developer Perspective and a Business Perspective, its what they gotta do to grow they're game and learn from player feedback but over the past few updates, it seems as though the developers have been selectively choosing who to listen to. For example, after a lot of people not liking the haste stacking removal in a recent PTB, they decided not to remove it from the game, which I think its good that they listened to the community on that but at the same time for example, with this update, not only did not many people complain about some of Springtraps addons, but no one really complained about perks like unbound and batteries included being buffed for example, and they got nerfed anyways. (The main exception was the Foxy's Hook Addon, that was a little too much and easy to use). So while it seems as though the developers have been listening to a lot of community feedback, it seems as though we didn't get much ears from the developers with the Five Nights at Freddy's chapter and they just went ahead and nerfed a bunch of addons and perks that didn't really need nerf's anyways. Hopefully with all the controversy over the changes that we have seen here already, we will go back into the right direction with changes. Only time will tell however, the developers have made a lot of good changes over the past few updates regardless so hopefully we see some corrections to some of the changes that "may" have gone too far.
