Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

What controller can I use to play DBD on pc?

I don’t own a play station or Xbox which I know a lot of people suggest but mine is strictly PC on steam… any suggestions are much appreciated.

You can hook an XBox or PS controller to your PC via bluetooth. But I suggest that you try to learn to use mouse and keyboard. They are more accurate than controllers, and you can do more precise flicks in-game

But if you're more comfortable on using controller, the XBox controller is pretty easy to hook on PC, and is more comfortable than PS controller (In my opinion)

I use an Xbox and a dual sense controller. However, I'm not sure where you are playing the game from. Steam handles PlayStation controllers, and others, in different ways for games that don't officially support them. Where as with Epic, or Gamepass/Microsoft Store, you may not have good luck in some games with certain controllers without doing some tinkering.

Xbox controller is pretty universal and works with most any store or game. The 8bitdo Ultimate controllers work well and are good prices too. But mine broke :(

Most of the controllers can be connected via Bluetooth or cable. Xbox has a special adapter that can also be purchased separately and 8bitdo usually comes with a USB dongle depending on the model.

The controller I use is a Gulikit KingKong Pro 2. It's very comfortable and I plug it in via USB cable. I play on PC/Steam as well.

I just bought an Xbox controller. I don't normally use it for DBD but it works fine on PC.

Personally, I use an ancient wired Xbox 360 controller.

Still works after all these years because they were made to last, even though the rubber on the sticks has started to decay (but you can get thumb stick covers to put over these pretty easily). I hear good things about the 8bitdo ones if you want something more modern.

I did try but I just was bad at it tbh, my fingers are pretty short. I even tried changing the controls to make it easier but I still sucked.

thanks for the replies everyone! I didn’t know I could use Xbox & ps controllers off of Bluetooth even if I don’t own the consoles.
