Yo can you like killswitch the glitchtrap skin already
Since you guys somehow still struggle to not make skins that provide an auditory benefit of being much quieter than their normal counterpart, in the big 2025.
Please killswitch it.

I'm pretty sure they do it for the sales. Look how long it took for them to fix the huntress skin.
-2 -
I dont think it is for the sales. The Devs are not that scummy to do this. At least I hope.
@Topic:
They will not killswitch it, they did not do it with the Were-Elk Skin either, both times it was bugged. They will probably fix it in the future.

The footsteps are still very noticeable and it’s not like the skin turns off the audio for the loud, metal doors shooting open whenever he TPs to you
7 -
The footsteps are like 5x quieter than his normal skin. It's 100% p2w, it's not debatable.
Also the loud doors mean nothing because the doors are so close to gens that it's a free hit anyway. The only times the door is counterable is when you can see the keypad flashing beforehand.
7 -
i don't have a problem with p2w skins
-21 -
It's probably not killswitch worthy, but it does need to get fixed
7 -
But if they killswitch the skin then I can't ask him to mori me at the end of a match. He does the "shhh" thing.
Anyway, DbD is terrible when it comes to audio. Survivor injured noises still haven't been normalized and it absolutely does give the quiet survivors an advantage. Sound occlusion works in ways that make no sense: I can't hear the hatch a foot away, I can't hear a nearly completed gen down the stairs, but I can hear Ghostface's clothing rustling on the other side of a thick steel wall. And I still have matches against Huntress where sometimes I hear her terror radius long before I hear her lullaby, or maybe never hear her lullaby at all.
I've given up on expecting audio to function consistently much less properly in this game.

By that logic, can we killswitch survivors like Ace, that provide an auditory benefit of being much quieter than their normal survivor counterparts?
3 -
I mean at this point I feel like it has to be intentional. They talked about normalising survivor audio levels… 5? 6 years ago now? And nothing has happened.
2 -
Because they said they’re eventually fixing the audio levels, it means it’s not intentional for the survivor audio to be so different.
They said it takes a lot of work, which is exactly the same reason that it took years to fix Blight’s hug tech, that they announced was a bug, years before it was fixed.

They've never killswitched p2w skins, but they do tend to fix them relatively soon-ish (were-elk and the junji ito skin for spirit). My best guess for a glitchtrap fix would be hotfix 2. The only exception so far is the junji ito artist skin who still has basically no warning sound that she's about to summon crows.

Ummm no. Upgrade your headset if you can.
If you can’t hear this stomping I don’t know what to tell you. I hear this a mile away even when I am on a gen.

or ada
-1 -
"Ah yes guys! If you can't hear this stomping from this video where I'm literally being carried by the killer so there's absolutely zero distance or walls between us, then you need to upgrade your headset!"
There's no shot your reply isn't satire.
3 -
I literally said “I can hear it a mile away from a gen.”
Let’s just ignore that part though.
It’s clear as day in the video as he walks away too.Let’s be so for real. This is on you at this point. Skull Merchant has nearly silent footsteps, you wanna kill switch her?
-6 -
"as he walks away in the video" he's literally 3 feet away before it cuts off lmfao. again, gotta be satire.
It's not on me. His footsteps are objectively much quieter than his default skin. Therefore it's objectively p2w.
2 -
I’m not arguing that, so take a breather. It’s not the end of the world if someone points something out.
All I am saying is that your suggested post doesn’t warrant a kill switch. Period.
-2 -
You did argue that because you tried to suggest it isn't p2w when you reply with "dude just upgrade your headset it's not quiet, listen to those stomps!".
1 -
Yes, I countered your argument. That’s what the forums is all about. I don’t know what type of headset you have but I can say if you can’t hear his footsteps and he’s constantly sneaking up on you, that’s on you. I don’t know what more to add.
I could post more videos varying his distance but it won’t change your mind. The only issue I have with that outfit is the imbalance of noise level on Eyrie Of Crows. The sand makes him quieter.

Ghostface has existed for years and nobody complains about him
0 -
That’s not true, the devs killswitched Baermar’s holiday sweater for weeks because it made him totally silent.
1 -
Ghostface can't teleport on top of you. He also doesn't have a projectile.
1 -
Oh yeah. I totally forgot about that buggy mess.
0 -
These are FACTS! I still remember them saying they would fix that. Why does BHVR constantly make promises that they won't keep? Instead they release it anyway.
This is 100% intentional.

He is more quite for sure, but not really that much. It's basically in realm of what some surivvors skins do, so seems fair.
0 -
thats not a good reason to killswitch them, just cause their quieter then the OG skin
0 -
idk a p2w skin sure seems like a good reason for that skin to not be allowed to be used.
0 -
It isn't any more pay to win than any of the various survivors and survivor cosmetics that are quieter than they probably should be.
-2 -
what aboutism.
2 -
Unless you are suggesting to killswitch everything quieter than average(which would be a lot of the ######### in this game) then this entire thread just comes across as pointless whining
-2 -
or maybe it's because a quite survivor isn't as much of an impact as a quite killer. It's definitely an impact but it doesn't compare to a quiet killer.
0 -
Yeah and when's that "Audio Normalizing for all Survivors" thing happening? How about we do that first?
-1 -
The impact is the same. It can be the difference between noticing and not noticing them.
