Does MMR punish you for playing with your friends?

Honestly feels like a miserable experience any time I play with my friends.

Like I'm the only "DBD" player and they're relatively new players. Yet the matchmaking matches my ~100 hour friends with 7000 hour killers. Like imagine trying to have a fun game with a friend who is honestly miserable at the game and you go against nurse>dracula>spirit>blight all playing at a high level.

It's almost comical how bad the experience is.

Like even our first game was against an 11,000 hour nurse who claimed to be a tournament player. Like what? lol

Only if your friends are far better than you. A SWF is matched based on the member with the highest MMR.

That's going to be the case anytime you have a mix match of skill levels. It would be unfair to expect a newbie killer who has no control over who you invited to your swf, to deal with 7000 hour survivors.

    Is the survivor role punishing?

    Yes

    Is MMR the reason?

    Sometimes, but not always

Are either of these worse when you're in a SWF?

    No

Ok, it's worse for solo players, but only by a little bit, right?

    It's not even close
