Final Masquerade??
So I got the newsletter / email (think its litterally only second one I ever got!)
The title says the Final Twisted Masquerade is upon us.
So any devs wanna comment on if we'll get something totally new next year?
Or going to leave us to speculate?
I'd tentatively say i'd much prefer something else, but I'm hesitant as this year has been full of changes I'm not a fan of, & as I'm determined to let this game go forever after the 10th Anniversary would be nice to leave on a high note (or convince me to stay I guess)
I'm really not sure what i'd do instead but 10th Anniversary I hope its going to be the best event ever, full of cakes for all the p100 players (you know your loyal player base!) & free of bugs & glitches (😅😅) & Tryx not exposing me with exquisite timing!

I suspect we'll get something completely new next year. Which is a shame! I love the masquerade mode, even if it were just the cosmetics. I was hoping that we'd eventually get to see characters getting masquerade-themed recolours of their more formal outfits (think Sable's chrysalis dress) that would work well alongside the full outfits for characters that you'd earn through challenges. But I guess it wasn't to be.

Masquerade is awesome! Sad to see it go. Wonder what they’ll do for a different theme…

I like the theme but I won't be sad to see Tryx go.
As a sidenote, has there ever been a Harley Quinn dupe that was a fraction as likeable as Harley?

The devs are planning for another theme for next year's anniversary. This is a real shame for me, because I love the aesthetic and the cosmetics are some of my favorites.

They did during their last livestream, they confirmed next year is something new.

Like Other asymmetrical games devs before them, right when they put out an update that gets them lots of players… they're shutting down all support and updates for dbd. I know, I know, its sad, but it's been a good 9 year run, and they've single handedly beat out all other asymmetrical horror games for years, but the time has come to move on to new avenues, and try new things (possibly a Naughty Bear 2?). DbD will shut down all support and updates by the end of 2025, and thus there will, sadly, be no Anniversary event next year.
Enjoy DbD while you can, and the final chapters released this year, for this will be the final swan song of this great game that has brought so many in our community such joy for so many wonderful years.

I doubt it matters what they do next year, it'll be the same crap as always. The event will only be fun as Killer and an absolute chore as Survivor because BHVR does not care about the Survivor experience.
