Dedicated Server's NOT responding. Why is this still a thing?

I was playing survivor, literally AT an exit gate. BOOM. Game over. You lose ALL your BP too. Its extremely frustrating. I went through hell that round to survive and nearly died till the server killed me instead.

    This could be handled in a much more user-friendly way.

    The best solution would be to avoid any game server crashes entirely. The next best option would be to automatically award players whatever they earned. However, there’s another (more practical) approach:

    If the game server crashes (which can technically be detected), the system could "calculate" the number of BPs for each player as compensation and add them to each player's BP wallet, or send a message to each player via the inbox to claim their points.

    Formula:
    In-game Seconds (from the start of the trial until the crash) × Magic Number (maybe 30-40?) × Multiplier(s) (Offerings & Queue)

    Yeah, I dont know why it is still a thing. It has gotten very rare, but the error STILL exists. The last time I got it as Killer, it happened after the last Survivor escaped via the Gate. It was a 2K overall, the remaining Survivors just escaped and the game did not end. Then the Server crashed and I got 0 BPs out of the game - as the only player in it , since it happened after everyone was either dead or left.

    I think it is super frustrating. At least it still does not warrant a penalty point, at least I hope it does not do that.

    And this is why the new DC penalty needs to NOT be a thing. Specifically I'm speaking of having to attempt to queue for the next match and then sit there, keeping the game open and waiting for it to count down.

    Oh I though this was happening to me beause of my internet, or something like that? It sucks, most of the times happens very randomly, or in matches where team is doing well or near opening gates, it hardly happens when team is underperforming, maybe its just a coincidence, but weird. Anyways, im always crossing fingers because getting DC punish is also random, sometimes it happens sometimes it doesnt, not sure also why. So annoying.

    Im getting this errors at least once or twice a week.

    If you don't get at least two Dedicated Server stopped responding errors a week are you actually a DBD gamer? 😋😂
