Map Voting is coming
It's been revealed that map voting will arrive in the mid chapter along with the two new survivors which we already know who they are thanks to the hints.
Each person in lobby will get 1 vote to pick a map anybody who brings in a map offering will get 1 extra vote.
Personal thoughts: This system seems kinda broken already I feel this will greatly lower map diversity especially in high MMR but also it's heavily skewed towards survivor pick sense it's a 1v4 they get 4 and at most 8 votes if they use map offerings while killer can only do 2 at most. I don't think map voting should be a thing and just best left to the rng entity to pick.

There's no way they do this lol. Every match would go to the absolute most survivor sided maps
EDIT: OP, what's your source?
28 -
More buffs for SWFS, I guess. Because they weren't powerful enough.

Source? Because this guy as the only Source is not really valid IMO:
17 -
yeah I don't see how this is really fair nor good for map diversity were just gonna get the best sided maps now from now on
5 -
Yay!!!! Back to playing Comp Key / Comp Bone / Eyrie of Crows every single match!! Outstanding!! Another neuron melting idea
-7 -
Is there a source? This seems to go against the very point behind the nerf to map offerings.

This will fix literally nothing. All the maps suck.
7 -
So… the killer’s vote is trumped if even two survivors combine their votes.
7 -
I really hope this is just a guy trying to troll us.

If this were to be true, and I cannot think why because it goes entirely against what was done to map offerings (and the reason why), this would be a bad move by BHVR. Voting for map spawns can be annoying too, but this would damage all they did to address this.
This could also be deliberately false information by the person who disclosed it, or from the devs to root out any further leakers in their midst.
Plus, the 2 licensed survivors are on the roadmap as a licensed chapter, which to me implies they won't be released as a midchapter, but get their own.
Of course, anything could happen. I hope it's wrong though.

So, DC in voting screen is about to become a mayor problem. Are they really not able to see it coming?

Gorejira is well known in the leaker community for being full of **** so unless there's another source I'd ignore this.
20 -
This is one of the worst ideas they have ever come up with in a long time lmao
Just change map offerings to map bans, its that simple
1 -
I'm sorry if this is true, this is a complete failure of like… 1st grade math.
Is "4 > 1" complicated? How could this ever function without survivors just always winning the vote and going to the most survivor sided map available lmao.
3 -
This is what they should do. Map Offerings have no place in a game like this unless they guarantee that you WON'T be going to the map offered.
2 -
Don't worry it won't make it through PTB because of Killers and Devs only caring about Killer experience.
-10 -
This is literally a troll on twitter baiting lmfao.
7 -
Why would they even add a system where one side will constantly be outvoted by the other?
It would be a waste of time.
7 -
Even if this were true, I guess I don't care. I like and dislike the same maps wether I'm killer or survivor.

Gorejira is notorious for being a funky jester, he was literally shouted out by Erik in the anniversary stream at Pax. He just likes to have a giggle and he's very good at it

If you're going to speculate on the ramblings of some random leaker, you should be clear that's what you're doing. Your post makes it sound like this is coming from the devs, which it's not.
2 -
I refuse to believe this is true. Why would they make a change like this given that they just fixed the map offering problem? Map offerings are no longer an annoyance.
Who would even ask for this? I'd much rather the Entity pick where we play.
2 -
Actually would be nice imo. If they made it so you were down voting a single map. Then everyone's votes get put out there, and RNGesus lowers the chance of a specific map to be chosen. Then it would be pretty fair.
I don't see this happening though. You can't even get people to Ready Up in the lobby, let alone vote for a map. Unless you could put in a vote ahead of time (######### you RPD) and it stays the same each time you hit the Play button.

That would increase numbers of game crashing during loading screen a lot, so doubt it.

can they just remove map offerings allready then ?
they just take up alot of nodes in the bloodweb and i never liked them. Bow they are nearlly useless . Just take them out the dam game please.0 -
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner.
Or
Four survivors and one killer voting on what map they should play.

Map voting makes zero sense in a game like DBD. I know BHVR often makes questionable choices but I can't imagine them greenlighting such feature.
2 -
theres no way this is real.
id rather go back to 100% maps with sacrificial ward being meta then that
