Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Killers problems

The main problem is that i've been encountering a lot of genrushing lobbies lately. Today i played like 7 games and 2 dead survivors was my maximum. What's best is that i even ran the build including

-Hex: Ruin

-Surge

-Thrilling Tremors

-Call of Brine

And basically you don't need to be the veteran of the game to know that the build is strictly focused around generators or preventing genrush. Somehow as i wrote before i've managed to kill only 2 survivors (and sometimes none, which is crazy playing 7 games in a row) and the whole game became somehow very survivor sided since 9.0.1 Bugfix patch.

Im wondering if BHVR is planning to do something about it cause i've seen more people than just me complaining about similar thing, so that would mean it ain't no ''placebo'' effect or stuff like that.

I've noticed something similar. I can't rule out sleep deprivation for myself but the influx of mentions of this have become concerning.

you are getting diminishing returns from too much regression; you lack lethal pressure.

    The problem is this:

Gens haven't gotten any slower to do (if anything buffed healing has made it faster, since less time healing is more time on gens), but all the gen regression perks have been taken out back.

There's genuinely nothing except for pain res left. Even at 150% cob sucks, overcharge has been dead for years, oppression is a fun gimmick perk but good survivors rarely miss the skill check so it's meaningless, eruption is a detriment to use, pop at 20% is horrible, jolt is only usable on M1 killers and even then it's dependent on small maps to get value, and undone was dead on arrival.

They just suck… there's hardly any real defense for gens left meanwhile, gens still progress the same speed.

Agree with others that this isn’t a very effective build. Recommend you read some forums or watch YouTube videos to get ideas for good builds on the killers you are using. Also watch some educational videos to learn better macro gameplay to help apply pressure on top of the perks you are using.

I think the killers who very much relied on gen slowdown are going to struggle for a bit. You can succeed with minimal slowdown or no slowdown, but it's a much harder game. I've switched to mostly aura reading with one passive slowdown i.e. Pain Res. No downtime for patrols or kicking gens. It works, but you have play at a frenetic pace.

Yes but you're making my point for me. You're using the one gen regression perk that CAN be used solo and be effective since it actually hits hard. You cannot do this same tactic with the other regression perks, because they suck. In an attempt to fight the 3 gen meta and regression perk stacking they've made them all so useless on their own that now you HAVE to stack them.

Use Lethal Pursuer, find a survivor asap

    Hook them, proxy camp

When they are unhooked, tunnel them out. Do the same until they are dead

Next survivor you hook you just proxy camp. If they are unhooked you go for the unhooker. Do not tunnel.

Alternate: if you are not using scourge hooks, you can start only slugging after tunneling the first survivor out

I wasn't necessarily disagreeing with you about gen slowdown not being as good anymore. I think it's a healthier direction for the game to go in. Less slowdown is better for pacing overall.

The few matches I’ve played as killer have also had a higher frequency of speedy gen completions but the coordination I’m seeing elsewhere tells me it’s maybe just SWFs being SWFs. It has me slugging more and playing a bit more aggressively than I generally like when I encounter that, but it’s counterable so long as you recognize what’s happening.

I can’t necessarily say I blame them though - solo queue survivor matches have been miserable the past few days. If gens were going slower there’d just be more 4Ks at 5 gens.

Obviously without seeing the games it's hard to say what exactly the problem you're facing is. However there are two things I can see. The first is the afk system forced survivors onto gens harder. This of course will mean faster gens. The second is your build doesn't have alot of synergy. You seem to be trying to cover all your bases but some of the perks you're using directly interfer with one another.

To all the people saying my build is not what it seemed to be: I agree. I changed it, and i probably wouldn't see it if it wasn't said (Idk why i never really saw thrilling tremors blocking not only the gen but its regression for example)
I think for now since healing got buffed and it doesnt take amount of time like it used to back in the days i'll create a build focusing around slowing it down. Ima let y'all know if that'll help.

    Appreciate all the replies 🤘
