Redeem point offerings (dessert) at a point event should be mandatory

I understand that all killers already slug and tunnel to win. I understand that all teammates only care about blessing event totems and opening chests instead of repairing and unhooking teammates. So, if I'm going to be a victim of that kind of behavior, I at least ask that everyone redeem point offerings.

I don't understand why in a points-based event where you might be tunneled or rushed, you're not forced to put in points so that at least the affected party can get some points. I've had to play the friendly killer to get a lot of points (a role that bores me).

And with rushing and tunneling, people stop redeeming point offerings because "the other party won't let me generate points."

If we're going to play an event that should unite the community (not divide it further by creating world tournaments), at least we should all be forced to redeem point offerings.

    Realistically, the event should at least have a 2x multiplier to all BP gains like they have in previous years. This would stack nicely with the dessert offerings and entice those who don't use them to… use them…

    I’m not sure I understand the situation you’re describing. As a killer, there’s no incentive to play any differently than usual in this event - killer blood points are tied to the things killers do anyway.

    As a survivor, if I’m tunneled then I’m the affected party - why, after multiple solo queue stomps would I care how many blood points my next killer gets?

    Personally I have been bringing pies because why not but I’d be lying if I said the temptation to switch to Salty Lips instead hadn’t crossed my mind after a couple streaks of being steamrolled. Besides, survivor has had a near constant 1.5x - 2.5x blood point bribe in place so that stacks nicely in all but the worst matches.

    The entitlement over other peoples offerings is hilarious to me. Killers tunneling out people who don’t bring pies and now this.

    Nobody is going to force anyone to bring offerings that benefit you nor should they. It’s not other people’s fault that you’re getting tunneling out at 5 gens. Also the totems and chests are part of the event and how survivors max out their BP gains. That’s just how it works.

    Dont get me wrong. Does it suck? Yes and it’s especially frustrating for an event where everyone is trying to grind BP especially because it’s unnecessary. I’ve played many matches where the killer killed everyone without tunneling off hook every match and we all cleaned up. My point is that no one owes you their offering no matter how the match goes.

    I say this as someone who always brings the pies because yes it does benefit me and everyone else to do it. But you’re not entitled to it.

    Also if the chest and totem stuff annoys you just go play the regular event queue. I played regular mode yesterday for 3-4 matches and I was still getting 200-225K per match with the pies.
