Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

What is the community consensus on Ghoul right now?

Is he for sure S tier like Nurse and Blight? Or with the nerfs is he more like a high A killer? I don't have much experience playing against him and I haven't played him at all since I have returned to the game from my break.

He's definitely A tier but people got that Skull merchant-esque PTSD with this killer where they think he's still the second coming of Christ, when the nerfs hit VERY hard. He's a free hit like legion but after that his chase power takes a decent amount to actually master and he has plenty of outplay potential. Tbh I'd say his chase power is harder than nurse at the very least.

he’s more manageable on some maps than others. IMO the traversal is the best thing he has going for him.

Ghoul is one of killers I have the most fun playing against. Good job BHVR.

He's still overpowered, bt I wouldn't go as far as to say he's S tier. Nurse and Blight are still Queen and King of overpowered bs. Ghoul is definitely top of A tier though, I would say he's better than Billy for the simple fact that he's far easier to play than Billy is.

I play him.. well her since i use the Rize skin and i don't mind playing against him. When ghoul was released i hated him. I absolutely hated him.

After the nerfs he's become ok to go against and i realised my hate came from not understanding how to play against him.

He's a strong killer for sure but he aint no nurse or blight.

I havent had a single DC or give up when i play ghoul, and i play ghoul a lot nowdays. Also as a survivor i havent seen a single give up or DC against him/her.

Sure. I don't mind if people wanna take a DC penalty or 2. Doesn't bother me. I let the other play the game then.

He's still S tier imo and he's far too good for how easy he is to get results with.

Survivors are always giving up when i play as him. Which makes me sad and is boring because i love playing him and the character a lot.

The free hits don't really bother me like they bother other people, because he's so visible and easy to loop afterwards and i find that good practise, i like the character and i don't mind playing against him personally, but it appears i am the minority. So i agree something should be done.

He still has busted addons (it's just 5 perk slot), best mobility, free hit, force you to mend and he is so easy to play. In new ######### maps like Haddonfield, DND map, Lake Ormond, it's imposible to play against.Stupid cheesy braindead character. Dodge every game as soon as i hear his stupid music

He‘s bugged all the time, which makes him either far stronger or far weaker than he should be.

I like playing as and against him. Only the free hit is bit eh. It is very easy to outplay him at loops, which is fun.

There isnt term like free hit in this game (some are free if you are found, run into nothing to loop or open, let your self be zoned) or blights hitbox that is in begining of his rush attack is one of biggest and most generous hitbox in the entire game (term called shoulder flick because its that huge he can hit suirvivor almost behind him), sure he gets fast injury on survivor from like 14 meters if you are in open or hallway, enraged vault is strong but not cracked it was op with his bug called kidnap tech but that thing is fixed (more than crouch tech for sure) and if you dont like his fallow up with leap and then him canceling his power to m1 you than yopu need to be more cunning and dont go just straight (like you dont go straight against spirit, nurse, huntress thats not smart to do only if you have time to get some loop and going shortest way to be there asap). I personaly like him more than blight and spirit to face why blight is more busted and can cut you off the same way but down you which ghoul takes more time plus he cant just break palett and catch you with power like blight (bruteforce you very lame but effective strategy) and spirit I hate going against something I cant see, nurse you can see and hear better when she charges her blink yeah she is more busted than spirit and all that matters is how good she is if she fails to blik clouse or not.

Ghoul is a-tier maybe a-tier+, above him are nurse, blight, billy, dracula, and he is somewhere around twins and singularity (only sthing that is different with him he is easier true but that crazy cut offs with his leap on shack arent easy to connetc, you need to be fast and accurate with your power plus survivor if he knows what you trying to do he can doubble back and doge you more easily than blight cantching up in the same way).

True his power works like 2/3 of time or you dont leap etc. (had this bug when survivor was in open I got him with second leap and it didnt injure him just gave me enraged or I hit him when he was behind wall just like huntress on 200 ms realy buggy patch 9.0.0)

He was weakest s-tier when he came crazy 5 meter hitbox and small timers on power but now he is +a-tier, him being easy thats what developer wanted.

That girl one Rize she is more quiet and doesnt screem that much same as were elk (super quiet lullaby and hatchet wind up sound) or springtraps skin glitchtrap (has quiet footsteps which with his stealth and range attack is solid buff with this skin), trappers naughty bear is more quiet (doesnt have that loud breathing), pinheads chatterer (no sounds and no I came when he teleports to cube), there are many skins with advantage for sound or vizuals (being samller etc.) so ghouls isnt only one.

There are skins that are disadvantage like birkin on blight being taller and having more sounds but its blight so stealth isnt his thing.

I enjoyed ghoul more when he was flat out OP and not using his greasy latch techs

I think that 1st hit still needs a bit of work, as because it is so free I feel it shouldn't work through walls or through seperate floors etc. or the kidnap tech. But I do actually like him in chase after he was adjusted. I don't think he is weak by any means, but I don't think he is OP. He's strong, but still manageable. He's definitely one of those killers that will be really difficult for beginners to face and not as difficult for beginners to play, so it's a bit of a shame that the gap is so different and big but, that's alot of DBD and not an exclusive Ghoul issue.

a killer that survivor mains hopefully will remember (we know they wont) every time they want to complain about how they hate anti looping killers that force them to leave tiles

His first hits are BS. One just hit through a tree/rock.

Kaneki's first hit is obviously just a free gift from BHVR. Kaneki's second hit is still broken cause he can make every single pallet a 50/50 in which you have to stun him or he fast vaults and gets a free second hit after an enraged vault which has barely any cooldown plus he slows down the survivor at the same time. Meaning you can't make it around the loop even once.

Happens but hitboxes are strange thing you need to understand in dbd when you hit diretly survivor with axe or slingers gun and it goes trough him (his model) this is normal because survivors hitbox is near his but when he runs thats the reason some killers like ghoul or huntress can hit you when you are almost behind some object like wall. Theres a reason why you get hit with some killer powers or m1 when you already vaulted your hitbox was behind you and it conected with killers attack, this thing can be wery unfun when we add high ping to it like the famos nigeria huntress (4 meters hatchet hit behind wall), but hight ping doesnt mean it benefits always killer because some killer powers dont work with high ms well like nemesis, bubby, etc.

I personally never found him that difficult to go against aside from his jump attack having very forgiving hotboxes. Since that attack can't down he's not too terrible to loop. I would put him at A- or B+

Rize. Unlike Kaneki, who makes a decent amount of noise so you can somewhat have time to react to his insane mobility, Rize is almost completely quiet. A Killer with that level of mobility and power should not be a silent Killer.

I don't think he is even close to being best killer. I consider him A tier, hard to tell where exactly.

But I definetly he is most boring killer to play against, I would take Skully over him every time. He is first killer I actually hate playing against.
