Chapter Concept: “The Hunt Begins” (Predator + Billy Sole)
Hello Behaviour team and fellow players,
I’m a huge fan of Dead by Daylight and wanted to share a concept for a potential licensed chapter inspired by the Predator franchise. I understand licensing can be expensive, so even if this never becomes an official crossover, I hope this idea can still inspire original killers or mechanics.
Killer: The Predator
“If it bleeds, we can kill it.”
Power – Thermal Vision
At the start of the trial, one Survivor becomes the Obsession.
While Thermal Vision is active:
- The Obsession's aura is always visible up to 32 meters, clearly.
- Other Survivors are only visible through walls within 8 meters.
- Windows, pallets, and map structures are not visible — they appear cold and blend into the environment.
- No visual cues are shown (e.g., gen explosions, fast vaults, or scratch marks). Only sound can be used to detect movement.
- Generators glow based on repair progress, but are only visible when looked at directly, not through walls.
- While in Thermal Vision, the Predator's movement speed is reduced from 4.6 m/s to 4.4 m/s.
- Entering or exiting the visor plays a thermal/night vision sound effect, audible within 16 meters.
- The Predator starts the match in Thermal Vision and can enter or exit it with a cooldown of approximately 2 seconds.
Survivor: Billy Sole
A quiet, deeply intuitive tracker who survived the unspeakable.
Perk 1 – Sixth Sense
At the start of the match, you see the killer's aura for 3/4/5 seconds. The killer sees your aura for half that time.
While this perk is active:
- Auras you see linger 3/4/5 seconds longer;
- Actions (repairing, healing, cleansing) performed on seen objects are 10/12/15% faster.
Perk 2 – “From Riches to Mud” (Yes, the name is reversed on purpose for meme value.)
After standing still for 10/8/6 seconds (without performing any action), the perk activates for 45/60/75 seconds:
- Your body becomes darker and muddier, blending into the map;
- Scratch marks and blood pools are 60% less visible, gradually fading to 10%;
- Gain a 10% Haste bonus for 10 seconds when the effect activates.
The effect ends early if you:
- Get hit by the killer;
- Drop a pallet;
- Perform a fast vault.
Perk 3 – Razor Focus
You hear the terror radius 15% earlier (sound only, no radius perks triggered).
While inside the killer’s terror radius:
- Perform actions 10/15/20% faster;
- Skill checks occur more often;
- Great Skill Check bonus is reduced.
Killer Perks: The Predator
Perk 1 – Marked Prey
Each time you hook a Survivor, all other Survivors within 16 meters of the hook scream instantly at the moment of hooking, revealing their positions.
Cooldown: 30 seconds.
“Those who stay close become exposed.”
Perk 2 – Cold Blood Protocol (Final version)
When you approach a Survivor who is performing an action (repairing, healing, cleansing, etc.) within 12 meters, you lose your terror radius and red stain for 15 seconds.
Cooldown: 60/50/40 seconds.
“They won't feel your presence... until it's too late.”
Perk 3 – Hunter’s Patience
If you remain out of chase for 20 seconds, your next basic attack becomes lethal (instadown) OR your next generator kick regresses 15% more.
Cooldown: 60/50/40 seconds.
“Wait. Watch. Strike.”
Final Words
I created this chapter as a passionate fan who loves stealth gameplay, tactical killers, and immersive horror. Even if Predator isn’t possible due to licensing, the mechanics of thermal tracking and patient hunting could work for a powerful original killer.
Thank you Behaviour for all the creativity you bring to the game.
I hope this concept inspires something new in the Fog.
