Bored of having to report cheaters
I just had to report my 14th cheater of the year. (it's not here yet cuz it hasn't been replied to)
Im so sick of it and it kills my motivation to play after seeing one.
I'm also tired of how tedious the chat bot is, i am having the answer the same questions over and over again. It's bad enough that a support ticket and video evidence is required, and the fact its not even easy to do is even more annoying. I have filled out the survey a few times, but i've not noticed any improvement in the last 4 years.

I agree - it’s incredibly frustrating that BHVR makes it so burdensome for players to report cheaters because their anti-cheat system is so useless. I guess they can get away with it though because the player count is at an all-time high. If people aren’t leaving the game in droves because of this problem, no reason for BHVR to spend resources to improve the anti-cheat system.

I probably havent even had so many cheaters in all my 8 years of playing dbd. But yeah the report system is trash.

How? I've seen 5 alone this week as teammates lol Insta healing from across the map as well as some have been outright invisible lol I get them constantly in SoloQ.

Could very well be people just dont notice the same things. I run bond+open handed, so if my teammate was hiding underground...I'd be more likely to notice it than my teammate who DIDNT bring aura perks like that.

BHVR ignores those reports (talking from my own experience).
I've been playing since the release of Oreo, and ever since, the only 2 reports that have actually had any effect were both from a toxic survivor in end game chat telling me to kyll myself... Every other report, includinf those with video evidence of a hacker have only received the same generic response in the email and never a solution

You are lucky to see only so few… I have multiple every play session. I do believe I am being stalked by cheaters on Cloud ID tho, but still…
I get a blatant cheater every single day, don't even want to think about the amount of subtle ones that pass me by… I sometimes run full aura builds and with that I even spot the subtle ones. They always speed up around corners, when they think you can't see them. Or you see them flying underground, which is even more dumb of them…
I stopped reporting them a while ago, cause I know it literally does nothing. Sad, but true. You can give them blatant video evidence plus their steam ID on a silver platter, they will still not get banned for one or another reason.
It is high time for the anti cheat to go server side. Simple code to just spot people doing things that they shouldn't do. Like: If:SurvivorSpeed = 150% > 5 secs = instant ban. It would catch SO MANY survivors alrdy, Cause there are no perks in the game that can do this. I believe background player is the only one that lasts as long as 5secs, so anything over that = cheats.

Its out of control. I see at least one every day.

Yeah it's completely out of control. I've had a full lobby using Speed hacks and obviously healing mid chase. I was Dracula and my fire was just going through them. This was my 10th Reportable hacker.

Disappearing survivors and getting blinded by flashlights even though I've got lightborn.
Getting more and more frequent.
Devs need to do something if they can.
But it takes a special sort of sado to cheat in a video game.

If it makes you feel better I don’t even deal with the chatbot . I open a ticket. I label it as cheating. I provide my Cloud ID, the offenders name and video evidence.
I get it though. I wish the ingame report was enough. I wish the system could automatically do like a scan of that person‘s account or last match to detect any anomalies. 🤣
Then boom! Done!Post edited by MechWarrior3 on2 -
This year for me it ramped up tremendously, but i think i've also been playing a lot more. I didn't have to report any in 2024

The annoying part is that everyone has to be a streamer and record every second of their games to catch the constant hackers, or you can't submit any reports that'll do anything. The game should track exceptions to the system so if you do an ingame report of speedhacking, the devs should be able to see that a survivor was moving around at 30 m/s without video proof.

Not sure about other consoles, but the PS5 at least keeps a recording of your last hour played. Makes it pretty easy to go back to and edit a clip from your last match.

I am having the same problem but its with killers wall hacking. It so obvious sometimes and I’ve only had one report result in some sort of action. I’ve been playing with a newer player trying to teach her the game and it’s a nightmare. Almost always happens on indoor maps and they just always seem to know where we are with no aura reading perks. I’ve been playing for a while now and the only way to have some sort of good chase is to play like they can see me at all times. It’s not fun at all for me and for a new player like the one I’m playing with it’s literally impossible. They are already talking about quitting and it’s really sad because this used to be a really fun game but now it’s filled with cheaters. I hear survivors are cheating too and I guess they realized no one’s doing anything about it so they just continue to do it. If they stop playing I will too. I guess its just time to find a new game.

I wish there was a ingame option to add our clipped video to our ingame report so we wouldn't have to go through any extra hoops and loops or just in general a WAY easier way to do it. Not that its had but it could be smoother.

So tired of subtle cheaters. Playing as wraith tonight. I kick 90%+ progress gen at 2 gens left. I smack the guy away and he runs off. I cloak and stand right by the gen. I hadn't done this once all match. I watch him as he slowly walks back and amazingly enough he just stares at me from a safe distance. Doesn't try to stop the gen regressing. He just knows!!!

Same… I've never dealt with adding videos to YouTube through my PS5 before dealing with DBDs report procedure.

I burst out laughing when I saw your post. Honestly, Dead by Daylight is really a zoo. Even making a simple report is so complicated. Why does it have to be a video? Seriously, why is the anti-cheat so ineffective?
