Operation Health for DBD
Some people might read that title and instantly know what I am talking about, back in 2017, Rainbow six siege had an entire Operation (season) just for fixing their game and improving the gameplay, barely any to no new content but the promise of a better experience.
I think it would be great to see DBD do something like that, I know that many might not agree since that would mean, no new killer, no new maps, no new survivor, especially since there are a lot of new players now that probably want to see what other crazy stuff behaviour can come up with.
Personally I think it would be great to see DBD doing a chapter that is really just focused on getting rid of bugs, improving the performance of the game etc. I would happily take a month or so without new content, just to see the game working properly. I might be a bit biased here, since I am one of the people currently suffering from huge perfomance problems, my game is contantly stuttering and there seems to be no fix so far, ive been told its related to Unreal Engine 5 but who knows.
What do yall think of a Chapter like that? Would you be alright with not getting any new content for a bit?

Tbh that's sort of what they did earlier this year, they delayed Tokyo Ghoul so they could work on core gameplay issues which is stuff like the abandon mechanic, go next prevention and the anti tunneling and slugging stuff coming later this year. So we're currently going under the closest DBD will ever get to a health chapter.

It's hilarious that Tokyo Ghoul was delayed, yet it is probably the most unhealthy aspect of the game currently.

Oh I didnt know that, ive only been playing for a few weeks at this point, good to know they at least tried to do something about the games state.. although I can't say that ive noticed to much of that.

Yeah, there is a year-long QoL initiative going on right now, divided into two phases, which aims at improving overall experience and fixing long-standing issues. The bulk bloodpoint spender, the perk widget on the right-hand side of the screen, newly unlocked characters coming pre-equipped with add-ons are all examples of these improvements. Aimed not just at veteran players, but at new players as well which is really important.
However, when it comes to fixing long-standing issues such as bugs new and old, I don't believe they will ever be able to do that. So many times things break because of other unrelated things being changed or added. Some killers, like Twins, seemingly cannot go one patch without something about them not working and it staying like that for many months, rightfully frustrating the people that main them.
Every content release is said to be stable but you can bet that next patch Blight will be able to fly because the duration of Awakened Awareness was changed by 2 seconds. That's how unbelievably broken DBD's code/foundation is, and it would take a game being rebuilt from the ground up to fix that. You could say that DBD is a mid to late-game Jenga tower: stuff gets piled on top of it while the underlying structure erodes until it collapses.5 -
Its a real shame that the base of the code is so bad, I really love the game and there is nothing I want to play more right now then DBD, which makes it even more painful that I straight up can't really play the game because of the consistant stutters I am having. Since a lot of others are having the same issue on PC, I can't do anything but hope they will find a fix for that soon, people said it only started a few patches ago.. so hopefully they are working on a fix for that.
