We know players encountered different issues when playing the Black Banquet Event, and we wouldn't want you to leave the feast still hungry. We'll be providing 5M Bloodpoints to all players, redeemable in your in-game inbox. Thank you for your patience as we worked on these issues, and we hope to see you in The Fog!
Console Reporting (Where's the description?)
The Reporting System
I made another thread asking for an explanation on why us console users can't add extra information to the report as you can see below.
@Peanits is there any information on adding in a text box for us console users to add additional information to the report? Any information is tremendously welcomed!
Vote up this so we can get the developers attention about this!

Thank you, it really means a lot to me that you reassured me! :)

I always choose the option that better fits the situation and then I click on the support button and complete the ticket there. It’s a pain in the ps4 tho unless you got a keyboard

I only filled a ticket once and that was because I was getting an error message that wouldn't go away for 3 days. I had to send them my cloud ID so they could see what's wrong with my account and fix it.

Click the button the matches what they did you object to. If it’s not mentioned, don’t report them. I know it’s heartbreaking not to be able to tattle about imaginary offenses, but try not being pathetic for once :)

Wow, actually try reading the thread instead of assuming the absolute worst about me and my intentions of wanting a text box, ya know? ✌

This wasn’t necessary at all. You didn’t try and read what he wrote...

How do ya send in video evidence and stuff on console?

Here's how I would do it, I'll record the player doing the action and then wait for my video to finish uploading online. Then I'll get the link to the online video and attach it on the ticket for them to see!

Hey All,
There is a way to enter a text description of the issue, but it requires 4 completely separate actions to complete (DO NOT EXIT THE GAME UNTIL STEP 4):
1) Press and hold the Share button to bring up the context menu, and then press square to save the gameplay recording. I have my PS4 setup to save up to 60 minutes of gameplay, and I think the default is 15 minutes. You can change this in settings.
2) Click the thumbs down like normal, and select the option that best fits the situation, and then go back to the Scoreboard.
3) Move the cursor up to the rate this match bar, and there is a box to the right that you need to click on to open a ticket. Fill out the ticket completely, and if you recorded the match, state that you have a recording. There is a bug on the web page that will continuously display a CAPTCHA test. Ignore it until you need to submit the ticket.
4) Close DbD and find the recording that you saved.
5) Trim the recording to just the match that you jusy played.
6) Upload the clip to YouTube as an unlisted video. If you make it public, you may be violating the EULA.
At this point you will need to wait a few days, and you will be contacted via email with a request for the video evidence. Just go to your YouTube account, get the link to the video, and put it in your reply. You will get 1 or 2 followup emails, if you’ve done everything correctly.
This is the only way to get lagg switchers banned, so make sure you follow the steps precisely.

I no longer feel alone as one of the few Xbox users on here

Too bad I have an Xbox One instead of a PS4! 😭

You can still press record you know. You can lengthen the time of recording. While it is not as long as PS4, just try to clip it immediately after the offense.

I wished there was an option to automatically record 5 minutes from the past. That would be cool instead of recording every game you play in hopes of finding said player who violated a Dead by Daylight rule.

If you have a One Drive you can upload clips directly to that and share it from Xbox. Also you could use http://xboxclips.com to share/download them as well.
Also you can set up you Xbox DVR to record up to 2 minutes automatically when you make a clip. Or just press Xbox button > back button (I call it the "with cheese button" because it looks like 2 slices of cheese) > select "record last 2 minutes" and boom you have a 2 minute clip, which is often plenty.

Thank you for the information fox, but I use http://xboxclips.com to get my videos online! I'll check into what you said, but again, thank you!

Was that necessary?

Awe, I missed you!

@Nickenzie LOL I'm not as active on this forum or even playing the game. Even though we are on different console systems, I'm sure you face the same lobby time issues. I know people hate on swf for various issues but it is truly the only time i play this game anymore. It is friends inviting me to play otherwise i probably wouldn't. I play killer but i just don't have any drive to sit for 2 or 3 hours playing this game solo. With so many other solo games that have come out i have been playing catch up on them. I really like the new killer. The animation is really well done. My hope is when the new chapter is released i can get some lobbies for a bit. I also want to grind out the new killer when lobbies start to slow down again.

I upload it to Youtube as a private video (those who have the link can still watch it) and send the link on the ticket description

You want to be more descriptive when you run and tell the nearest “authority” figure someone did something you disapprove of.
I know all I need to about you from the fact you report people in video games.

@Kaelum Thank you for the detailed instruction! ☺️

@ToxicAddiction If you don't want to get reported for doing ######### you know you shouldn't be doing, then there's a very simple solution: don't do those things. Personally, I think it's important to report toxicity because I'd like to lessen its grip on DbD. I'd go so far as to say it's the duty of every non-toxic player to report every toxic player on every game that has ever existed, so we can have nice things.
1 -
@ToxicAddiction I don't get why you would want to play a multiplayer game with cheaters and attempt to shame someone for going through the hassle to report them. That person is attempting to clean up the game and help improve the game for everyone. Sometimes the community needs to help police itself.
2 -
People who do things they know they shouldn't would rather blame others for reporting them rather than blame themselves for doing the things they know they shouldn't. It's all about shifting blame and making themselves look like innocent victims.
0 -
Yeah, we don't want legitimate toxic people in Dead by Daylight. If more people used the report system then this wouldn't be much of a problem.
2 -
I feel like "toxic" has been used so much by our community that it lost its meaning. In other words, what you find toxic isn't what someone else finds toxic. Therefore, instead of saying "report toxic people" we could be more specific and say "report rule breakers". Before you reply, I know what you really mean by saying "report toxic people" but others might misunderstand what you're trying to say. I just wanted clear up some things so we don't get others that false report things.
