New Killer Idea - The Doppler

I’d like to share my idea for a brand-new Killer: The Doppler, a vengeful spirit forged by betrayal, torture and black mist. Below you’ll find a rundown of his lore, powers and unique perks—feedback highly appreciated!

🕶 Lore
Once an elite enforcer for a Polish crime syndicate, he was betrayed by his best friend, chained in a dark cellar and beaten to death under the lash. Now reborn “in the Fog,” he hunts survivors with the same chains and whip-blade that once bound him.
🔪 Weapon
Whipblade: A heavy chain whip ending in a jagged metal blade—both instrument of torture and tool of slaughter.
👻 Power: Mimicry
- Activate (Ctrl): Select one of the four Survivors on the map to imitate. Instantly transform into that Survivor (1 s animation: clutches head, black mist swirl), gaining their exact appearance, base survivor movement speed and ability to repair generators for up to 60 seconds.
- Area Attack (M2): After landing two consecutive basic attacks, perform a 90° whipblade sweep in front of you. Within short range (slighly longer than basic attack)
- Chain Hold: If the AI-controlled “decoy” version of The Doppler (in Survivor form) touches a real Survivor, they’re instantly chained and held in place. They can attempt a self-rescue (25 % chance) or be freed by another Survivor—just like Trapper’s bear traps.
- Cooldown & Return: Once Mimicry ends—either via timer expiry or after a successful attack—The Doppler is stunned in his true form for 1.25 seconds (animation: rips mask off, face torn apart, dark mist subsides) before regaining control.
Unique Perks
🔻 Lingering Dread
"You may have escaped the hit. But not the fear."
After a Survivor escapes a chase that lasted at least 15/13/10 seconds, they become Hindered, reducing their movement speed by 5% for 6 seconds.
This effect can trigger once per Survivor every 40 seconds.
🔻 Chained Torment
"You can't fix something while you're still bleeding."
Whenever a Survivor loses a health state, the nearest active Generator to them is blocked by The Entity for 10/15/20 seconds.
This perk has a 30-second cooldown.
🔻 Perk: “Shifting Threat”
"The mind plays tricks, but yours is no illusion."
Every 60 seconds, the aura of a random Generator is revealed to all Survivors for 10 seconds.
If no Survivor interacts with that Generator in the next 20 seconds, their repair speed is reduced by 6/8/10% for 30 seconds.
