Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

perk "iron will" should get a nerf

In the last time i been started playing Rin more often, and i saw a trash reality of the current DBD. Imagine that you play as a Surv, and u trying to stun a killer who lifts your teammate while standing in a palette, but... he doesn't care, he just moves on. Why? Because he has a perk that will allow you to not stun on palettes or even pass through them. So he can just break the mechanics of the game, which is broken by some perk (but then why does this mechanic exist at all?) Can you imagine? Nonsense, right? And this is just an analogy of a typical Rin-mainer game against Survs who use an iron will. But even in my analogy, everything is not so bad and ridiculous. The question is, what is the point of iron will in the game? There were no problems when the ironwill had adequate percentages (25/50/75%), there was no tears by killers, or even a reason to think about a nerf, but a 100% decrease in sound volume is just nonsense. This literally kills Rin's ability, because the point of this killer is to find survivors by sound, but... they don't make sounds :D why? Because survivors can take only 1 perk, which breaking a not bad killer. And this is not some useless perk that occurs once in 100 games, this is one of the most popular perks, included in the top-10 by pickrate. And there is no way to somehow counter this, because there are no counter-perks in DBD, as a result, you just have to eat this and probably lose a game. This perk should roll back to the previous settings, when it gave a maximum of 75% sound reduction, but not 100%, because the existence of a perk that kills one of the game's mechanics for finding survivors is complete nonsense, this simply should not exist, and it shouldn't turn a good killer into a tier-3/4 sucker by killing his ability. I really hope BHVR will hear me out and maybe even do something (ofc it's sounds ridiculous, but if i have at least 1% to convince devs to nerf it, then i'll be very happy of it)

I think the reason that bhvr gave Spirit players the unfun Dried Cherry Blossom is because they decided to ignore Spirit; "don't like 100% audio reduction? use the op addon"

I would have preferred iron will bring 75% but remove the exhaustion requirement.

Breathing and footsteps still exist. Grass still bends, scratch marks get left.

ofc i could remind you about perks that remove footsteps or make them barely visible to the eye, but is there any point in that? Sounds are one of the ways to find survivors, the mechanics of the game, and i'm not against the "iron will" perk, but it's just nonsense that the perk literally removes your sounds from the game, and this is despite the fact that there is a killer whose purpose is to search for survivors by sounds and footsteps. That is, you are seriously saying that a killer whose purpose is to search for survivors by sound should instead peer into the ######### grass, which may not be there at all??? (not all maps have grass btw) it's not even funny, it's sound like an excuse. and if you didn't know, during the chase for the survivor it activates with music, because of which u'll never in ur life hear the "breathing" of the surv u're talking about

You're complaining about a perk that predates said killer. A killer that is near the top of the tier list in terms of power. One that has four other methods beyond grunts of pain to find the survivor they're chasing. If a single perk cripples your ability to play Spirit I'm afraid you're just bad at Spirit.

Stridor is a free perk on nurse that does exactly what you want here. It stacks multiplicatively, so even a survivor using iron will still has 50% volume.
