Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Franklins demise changes

I think franklins demise should be changed to basic attacks make items lose 30/40/50% of total charges. PTB changes currently buff franklins/weave. Imagine running into that combo but now everyone wants to go back and pick up their item since charges aren’t lost now.

Look, I know Franklin's isn't THAT strong of a perk already, but it really does exist just to remove game interaction. As such, I don't think it needs to be made so egregious.

Basicaly another dead perk only to work now with lichs perk butr why for some not that strong info sacrifice two perk slots for one aura info, better to take nowhere to hide, nurses, barbecue or that scorge hook one.

Changing a nerf into a huge buff.

What I see happening, if BHVR does change it, will be Franklins removes 1/2/3 charges with each hit.

I'd be curious to see if they have internal data showing whether enough players even bother going back for their items to matter one way or the other.

Killer players are acting like this destroys the perk or something but in my personal experience few, if any go back for dropped items anyway. I doubt that's going to change all that much with this perk's update.

    Nah let it stay dead.

Well, it depends. If you continue to chase them or hook them, then nobody cares. Almost all charges are lost (even worse with medkits where you need them for one heal), so theres no point.

But if you play hit-and-run, many players come back. I got quite some success with hag traps and franklins. There are always some, who forget after ten seconds, where they got hit, but others just dont take it bc they know its not worth it with the missing charges.

I play Franklins on Hag and I can assure you survivors go back for their item, or tell their friend to reset it for them.

If survivors don't return for their item now, it's simply because they know there are no charges left after their chase anymore, but if you leave the chase after hit, that survivor is going to return.

This change also definetly makes the perk useless. It simply doesn't do it's job anymore.

I'll still use Franklin's, it's actually my most used perk accoring to my DBD stats lol. I don't touch Weave though.

I personally have never once retrieved a dropped item and didn't realize until this PTB that dropped items even lose charges because of Franklin's. It's just never been worth it to me.

Of course I don't run anything fancy either. I don't play the game like a job enough to have some massive surplus of fancy add-ons. I doubt many do.

Mine is still to this day BBQ & Chile, even after all this time. Shows how much we wanted those stacks back in the day.
