The end of DBD for me
Ive had alot of good times with dbd but recently its just been bleh. Solo Q is still as bad as its ever been if not worse, unstable connection during matches / even lobbys error out consistently. Killer Q takes anywhere from 5-30 minutes daily.
Controller users have the WORSE CONTROLS that devs refuse to adjust even tho, on PC you can alter keybinds however you like but controller your interaction button has to be the same button r1or whatever you make it doesnt matter its still gonna do healing, pallet drops, vaulting, entering lockers etc straight up stinks.
I cant count the amount of times ive seen players die tryna drop a pallet or vault a location but because a teammate is there in the dying state your interaction button 99% of the time will prioritze the heal over vaulting or dropping the pallet resulting in them or myself going down as well. The fact that 1 button is used for mostly every important thing in the game is beyond crazy to me.
But after 3,451 hours in DBD and ive gotten the platinum trophy. I think i will be deleting this and not looking back. I wish i could enjoy it like i use to but i just really do not enjoy this game anymore and sadly the community is also quite toxic. For the cool homies ive met along the way god bless and wish you the best buds. But i will be logging off. Good luck

I always wonder why people feel the need to announce their departure to the whole wide world.
Like, what are we supposed to do. Argue with you? Hold the door for you?
This isn't an airport. You're free to depart without letting everyone know.-23 -
i think its mostly just to "close" the chapter that some people get when playing a game for long periods of time

I always wonder why people feel the need to announce to an announcer about their announcement to depart. LOL! Whole thing is cringe. Not everything needs a response, OPE. I RESPONDED! DRATS! FOILED AGAIN!

It's a forum. If people are dissatisfied with the game, this is the place to voice that.

I don't think you can change the interact button seperately for vaults vs lockers on k&m. They are both bound to space.

Lol special bubba ;)

Yeah you may be right i know i have buddies that play kbm and they have different buttons for healing and there vault so i assume you could do to all but maybe im wrong

having killers open lockers instead of picking you up will never not be hilarious to me

It's just someone…starting a discussion…on a discussion forum…

You can separate healing/repairing and such from vaulting even on controller. There's "Actions" which dictates vaulting/lockers and "Pick Up Item/Interactions" which dictates picking up items/healing/reparing/mending/killer power interactions (Pinhead chains/Artist crows/Houndmaster dog/Springtrap axe removal). I put my Actions on O/B, drop item on triangle/Y, then put my event ability on touchpad. Everything else is default (skill checks were on square before but then I got Potential Energy in too many chaos shuffles and realized the error of my ways). It works nicely for me.
But yes, the UI wording is poor. Yes, they could use a description to describe what the terminology means. Yes, they could stand to separate them into two buttons by default. And yes controller still has some core issues even outside of that, particularly when it comes to camera control. It is what it is.
E: actually it's really funny because here's something that never occurred to me. Vaulting for survivor is included in the "Actions" category, but vaulting for the killer is in the "Interactions" category. I'm dumbfounded. They really need to do a cleanup pass here.

The button bindings on controller really are absolute garbage. I opened a ticket a while back with what would make it feel better for console users. Some of them don’t even do what they say they will, they attach like 5 other things to it. They should put someone that plays this game on console on a QoL for that, it is absolutely maddening.

I don't blame you, the Survivor experience is so bad, yet BHVR refuses to do anything about it. It is, in fact, even worse on console.
Killers who don't need buffs get buffed, Survivor crap gets nerfed into oblivion, and all the while Survivors are just told to deal with it and be happy. It's horrible.

Solo survivor is really bad at present, not every match of course but enough to put me off playing.
I don't publicly announce that I am leaving the game though or tell friends I am done, as I have 'quit' many times before but I end up coming back after many months.
But it is getting tough even though I really want to farm up BP during this event, I go into the game and I get Kaneki back to back or tunnelling killers… just makes it hard to not close the game and play something else.

Ghoul is one of the final straws for my survivor experience which has made me play less, if they ever deal with them I'll probably play more again

To be fair - I have redone my controls on console. I play on the ps5. You can change them without any issues.
You may just want to consider an extended break. I see no reason to "Delete it completely" unless you just need the storage. Plus if you ever wanna play again, you can download it back at any time.

Yeah it's a bit rough at the moment. My interest in survivor is just gone, and while I had hope that this survivor focused chapter would breathe some new life into the role for me, I've played long enough to know that those who don't even play survivor are loud and tend to dictate what survivors do and don't get. Hoping this time I'm wrong but I'm not optimistic.
On the flip side, my killer queues are too long. On weekdays it's around 5 minutes, which isn't too bad and I'm willing to wait, but over the weekends I've been easily hitting 10 minutes. I'd assume there's more people playing on weekends though, so I dont know why it takes longer.

I've not been feeling DBD recently, either. But the upcoming patch has me more excited to play than any other patch in recent times (aside from the Legion buffs in 8.6.0). I can't wait to try out the new Fog Vial. But I'm trying not to get too excited about it, because there's been a lot of feedback in the PTB forum that if followed, would essentially kill the item completely. I really, really hope they don't come to the live servers DOA. It's about time we had something to shake up the Survivor game play loop.
That said, this is BHVR we're talking about. Maybe they'll ignore the feedback anyway and let the wider player base give their verdict on the item. After all, they did let the OG Ghoul come to live and we all know how busted they were on release.

That's enough hours to quit any game really. Lot's of unfun changes coming up also for killers that will now see fog and fog, fog etc it's not about being OP or not just annoying. So let's see if the number of players will go down after this or not I think it will but game will continue and I will continue for a while yet and I have more than twice of your gametime lol.

I hope the upcoming changes do something for the survivor experience, particularly solo survivor, as current DBD is really miserable and I think there is a good reason killer queues are so long.
