Why are the free character trials only extended by 1 week?

The free character trials will have been disabled the entire 3 weeks of the anniversary event, how is a 1 week extension fair?

If a community manager wants to step in, I would love to hear an explanation.

    Would love to hear an explanation? It was broken, then they fixed it. They extended the event by a week giving everyone millions and millions of extra BP in cake. Its fair because its completely free and they didn't have to do it at all.

    Free or not, they heavily promoted this feature leading up to the event and didn't follow through on their word. The anniversary event is free as well, and if it was disabled because of a glitch for 3 weeks do you think it would be acceptable for them to only extend the event by 1 week? No it wouldn't be.

    "Extra BP in cake" is literally irrelevant.
