Appeal a derank?

I was playing today (survivor) and out of my first three games I got kicked out of 2 games with a "dedicated server is not responding" message. So I lost my accumulated points in both games. Then I got a five minute match making ban. And I just noticed I got demoted a rank (iri 1 to iri 2)

Seems pretty unfair to me. Any chance you could add a few more sanctions for something out of my control? That's sarcasm by the way.

And I was never a person who was abusing the old "die on hook" system either. Butthurt in a big way right now.

Oh and it's the 12th today so I have literally no time to try and play my way back to iri 1

    It's a ridiculous punishment system. The time unable to queue is enough.

    I'm sorry that happened to you. To me, the scariest part of playing DBD is not knowing if the server is gonna crash and I'm gonna get hit with a dc penalty for it. For mine, the crashes tend to start up right after there's been a new update. I'm on a ps5. If the game crashes one time, I don't play for a couple of days. Because I know if it does it once, it's gonna do it again. It can be really frustrating sometimes…. I know people will scream, "We need these penalties because tons of people will rage quit if you remove them!" But honestly, I'd rather 100 people rage quit and get away with it than 10 people get punished because of the servers crashing.

    I’ve been playing since 2021 and always been lucky enough to play on a stable connection. I now know the pain those with issues go through. I didn’t want to miss the anniversary so I’ve been playing on hotel Wi-Fi. As we all know that can be unreliable. I’ve had a few DCs and I’m terrified of racking up too much of a penalty so have had to play sparingly. It’s no fun.
