Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Does anyone ever realize that they have been leaning on merks to much and that they started using them as a gap and not learning their killer better then go full perkless for months. Or is that just me

perks are there to help you, some more powerful than others, tho imo i don't don't think there is a perk that makes you lean on it too much on the killer side (if there is please do name it cuz i can't think of any )

but on the survivor side…..well…i don't have to say much

Yeah. Whenever I use a build for a long time, then stop using it, I really start to feel it’s absence.

I had to play perkless in the week leading to the Masquerade, and had a blast, which kinda highlighted for me how much handholdy perks can do.

Generator slowdown perks are purely there to slow the game down and buy you more time as killer. If you want to improve your core killer M1 gameplay, perks will not help you. Chase perks aswell, they're fun and they win games but they're there as an extra aid

Look some killers cant be played without some perks because even worse survivors then you can still gen rush you even you have good and quite fast chases try trapper or some other weaker killer without some good perks and you will find out your chases are same just gens are minimaly two times faster and you have almost nothing for stping them just slug and tunnel. You can get better with that killer power but I doubt you will play against same survivors maybe later when you get better but this works on better mediocer killers and above.

Noed clearly does. I dont say its too strong, but it can get you kills which you wouldnt get otherwise.

Thats not really a problem if you go after results. You get a decent killrate and success and the survivor failed to outplay noed, so its the right matchmaking. And Endgame builds are fair game.

But it can hinder your improvement, bc you are completely outclassed in "normal" gameplay.

tbh noed got nerfed and now reveals itself, it also tends to spawn in the most open areas for some reason

but yea it kinda get a lil crutchy depending on the mmr

Yh the only real use as crutch is if you get a hook next to it. But then you could just play Bubba.

The real use of noed is to get a boost and finish the match with it. But that only works if you are good. You need to get hits, track the survivors and use their rotation to down everyone.

Bad player just hope to get one lucky kill with noed.

If you play every killer the same, merks won't help you in the long run. Merks won't carry you, your own skill is what closes that gap.

I change my builds up often and don't really rely upon meta where I can but that's mainly coz I play event queues, so chaos shuffle and 2v8 don't allow me to use them and make me rely on what I'm given.

That said I go through random head on + Deception + scene partner phases where I can't let go of the perks.

i'll go add-on less to learn how a killer functions at base like with kaneki or springtrap but never no perk runs

no perk runs are more of a survivor thing

I start using a killer naked to start but then I equip some comfort things.
