So what's next for Springtrap?

I wish cameras were more rewarding for Survivors, or at least more in solo q, maybe gaining small amounts of bloodpoints every second could help while interacting with a door so it isn't such a time waster if you don't happen to find springtrap.
His Aura reveal shouldn't be hidden by blindness, it follows the logic of killer specific power / aura reveals like Pig's Jigsaw Boxes which are colored white and also aren't hidden by blindness.
Add a anti-proxycamp meassure like the Dredge has, where a door is blocked when near a hooked Survivor, you can still manually enter it, but you cannot enter said door from a distance.
Make his miss axe cooldown shorter (to 6 seconds from 7 seconds) and nerf the add-on to 10% from 20%, also make purple guy drawing rare please!

It's been slightly over a month. Some killers who've been out for much longer haven't seen much significant change. My personal feelings on him as a killer aside, he's probably fine to leave alone for a while as he is, given that we seem to finally be getting adjustments for killers who have been out years longer and needed those changes.

I feel like RNG is a pretty loose way of describing his door spawns. I've never seen one of Springtraps doors spawn more than 5-10 meters from a generator or a hook. Often times, both.

survivors already don't use cameras. I'm the only one that does in all my survivor matches and killer games.
springtraps already get angy and try to find me; how is that not interactivity? after enough reveals they are trying to guess my camera. if you want survivors to do something you have to throw them a bone. they're not gonna play a rigged game.

You have a point. The risk of using a camera and the reward isn't all that equal, especially when aura reading perks are involved. A survivor will try to use the cameras, but end up getting grabbed more than once in a game because of perks alone. The risk just isn't worth it, and its not fun either. Its always better to just do gens and not interact with his power at all.

survivors use doors and use them a lot, you simply have no way to know when and do anything about it.
cameras can be buffed.
springtraps "getting angry" means nothing when they have no idea where you can be because you could be anywhere near one of the 7 doors which the killer cannot check fast enough.

they can use access panel to know but access panel is garbage since it won't work if that specific door the survivor is using is connected so you throw your axe through the door and it hits nothing

yeah, access panel is the only option, but it's really clunky.
despite that, it still does a lot to give you at least some awareness.
sadly, it doesnt really help vs more aggressive door usage like using them to get away on the other side of the map if killer will take longer than ~3 seconds to reach your location.

Maybe we're just in different MMRs or on different servers, but I would say about one in every ten games I have against a Springtrap, a survivor uses the doors in any way. So in my experience, no, survivors don't use the doors. Of all the killers who have mechanics that survivors can or have to interact with (Xenomorph's flame turrets, Singularities zappers, etc), I see the doors used the least.
Personally, I won't touch the doors because even if you don't immediately get grabbed (unlikely), the reward is not worth the time or the risk it takes.

idk about mmr, im just saying that optimal play involves using doors vs this killer decent amount of time and pretty much every usage coincidences with a timing when he is either completely unable to do anything about it or hypothetically could but is none the wiser.
like the timing to do the door grab if you are not by the door already is insanely small, it's about 3 seconds if you actually react to whichever few poor warnings the game is capable to give you because 2 seconds from 5 second traversal animation are eaten by your own entrance animation.
assuming you even know where they're going.
that's why the whole "doors are too risky to use" sentiment is people not understand what theyre talking about, unfortunately. it's very easy to avoid door grabs EVEN IF the killer is following you as long as you have some distance on them at least / have a teammate ready to take aggro for a moment.
people are beginning to catch on and it's not going to be good for springtrap. he needs to at least not outright lose the survivor and have some warning they're about to do something.
meanwhile cams are basically obsolete, all theyre good for is making sure the killer isnt going to enter the door you're headed to, literally a matter of a 2 second check if you dont know where the killer is.

Recently got P100 Springtrap, along with 100+ hours on the Character, i wanna give my takes.
For Starters , the Fire Axe:
Changing Axe Grab keybind to M2 rather than overlapping with M1 basic attacks/lunges. (Too Inconsistent, Buggy, and not always Optimal to grab)
The Altruism action of helping another survivor remove the axe is a completely useless mechanic, due to the fact its easier to remove yourself due to not locking you in place and wasting a teammates time, and you can start removing it at any time so its gonna be removed the second u want it gone if a chase ends.
If its always optimal to remove the axe by yourself no one will ever use this action.
Most simple solution would be removing your own axe applying Deep Wound (Altruism Removal/Springtrap Recall would not apply it)
Unlike Artist the second a survivor starts removing an axe they shut off the aura reading, meaning they have alot more control on the Info, while Crow auras linger for 2.5s when starting to be removed. (Possibly apply a small Aura linger so they dont control the Aura to a tee)
And for the Security System:
Door Traversal is the most refined part of them.
Office Jumpscares are so unlikely u can go 50 games without getting one.
(Springtrap takes 2 Seconds to Enter a door, so you wont ever catch someone unless u are throwing the game and camping inside hoping someone uses one without knowing your location)
(Along with the fact Enter/Exit parts of the Door Traversal dont have any interactions (The Survivor/Killer) will just pass through eachother if they overlap, this is just really bad, as if u see a door being travelled to your location, you are better off waiting infront of it for a basic Grab rather than risking entering it just for them to pass through u during your animation to enter it.
Battery mechanic is completely Cosmetic and has never affected a match across my 700 Matches on Springtrap.
(Would love if it was a real Threat, like a Nightfall (Dredge) type mechanic, as in FNaF losing Power is equivalent to a Game-Over, obviously it should NOT be a game over, but it would be nice to change up the pace of the match with some spooky Power Outages)
And another thing to make this more consistent is have batteries slowly lose charges over time, so Survivors cant ignore Doors completely to prevent it.
Camera Mechanic will never see consistent use unless there is a real reason to use it, like every other Killer objective in the game. (All Infections, Reverse Bear Traps, Nightmare, Turrets)
I think his Kit is great and has a ton of stuff, but alot of it doesnt work out well in practice, his best Mechanic is definitely his Fire Axe, but his Security System falls short, and i see myself using the Doors less and less recently. (Which is a Shame cause its my favorite part of his Power)0 -
Its very unlikely to get Grabbed if you understand the Doors and Animation Times, Springtrap needs to be within 3 Seconds of travel time to you, or else its practically risk free.
When i face Survivors who know how to use the Doors well its like Forgotten Ruins portals but on any Map.
You can bodyblock if someone is being tunneled to confirm they finish using a door aswell, to get them across the map instantly. (Weapon Swipe + Door Enter animations makes it near impossible to catch them)0 -
Some exaples like greenville main they spawn pretty far and survivor if he pays attention he can prerun free and make chase last much longer for the killer.

I'm not talking about "optimal play" because essentially no one is playing completely and totally 'optimally'. I'm talking about what I actually see in game, which is that even if hypothetically, the doors could be used to some huge advantage for survivors, most survivors won't use them. So buffing the doors or something else to compensate for the doors would just make Springtrap utterly miserable to play against.

I think the addons are overall in a good state, some are strong, some are situational, some are useless, but its the case for every killer so its fine.
But the gameplay itself with the tiny hitbox and lag issue some time is frustrating when you want to land some shot on the surv, you can call a skill issue, i don't play dbd to do no scope montage, i just want to play the game and without the gray addon that make the axe comeback faster when you miss, its really painful to play as a 4.6 killer that was 4.4 a min ago.
The door are fine since the surv know when springtrap is coming out of them and can pre-run him, the only problem is that the surv can be anywhere when they got battery and i thing its way too strong to have the hand of Vecna with no real downside since the killer didn't know when they travel and need to take the same door than the surv.
Like did they say "hello" at each other in the office when they travel at the same time but not at the same door ? Idk, doesn't make sens to me.
(Sorry for bad english, hope you understand the big idea, would like my favorite killer to be in a better place, like low A tier at least, being average against "average" surv on strong map make the killer weak.)
Thx for your time. ☺️

what you're seeing in your games is people not bothering to play better because the killer doesnt push them to do so as he is already weak enough without pushing survivors to resort to use countermechanic.
time passes and in spite of that people will realize how OP doors are for survivors.
-1 -
Maybe, and if that time comes it will be a different story. But at this stage if the doors or some other aspect of Springtrap were buffed to compensate for the doors, I don't think I'd be the only person who would completely loathe playing against him and want to just get out of there as quickly as possible. He already feels oppressive in terms of map pressure, anything more and he'd be unbearable.
