New Survivor Chapter: From the Files of Police Squad

With "The Naked Gun" movie around the corner, I thought it would be fun to make a set of perks based around the protagonist of the original movies: Frank Drebin - played by the absolutely brilliant Leslie Nielsen.

There may be balancing issues (perhaps?), but wanted the perks to reflect the crazy humour, taking hints from the silliness of Nicholas Cage's perks. Anyway, here they are:

Perk 1: Dangerous Assignment

You aren't afraid of going undercover to root out the bad apples.

When you come across an empty chest, press the action button to get in and hide. Pressing the secondary action button causes your head to poke out and you lift the chest, able to walk at 50%/65%/80% walking speed. Press the secondary action button to hide again, or the action button to get out.

Remaining still for 8/7/6 seconds before quick exiting the chest when a killer is within 2m will stun the killer. Any survivor within 2m will scream.

If a killer spots you moving (seeing you in a clear line of sight) they can grab you out of the chest. Killers can also search chests without seeing, which results in you jumping out and a chase starting.

Gunderson: "Who are you and how did you get in here?"

Drebin: "I'm a locksmith. And I'm a locksmith."

Perk 2: The Smell of Fear

You never knowingly underestimate the seriousness of the situation.

The first chest you search grants you a red police siren (as in the opening scene) which can be used for 40/50/60 seconds.

Press the action button to place the light on your head. It now blares the siren and rotates the red light, and you can now run at 5% haste, vault 10% quicker and throw down pallets 20% quicker. When the killer gains 0.2m/s for every Bloodlust level, you also gain 0.2m/s extra haste.

This item can only appear once in a trial, but can be worn by any survivor.

3. Nothing To See Here

When the situation you made is chaos, you remain oblivious to everyone and everything.

You can rummage 1/2/3 chests in a trial. The rummage results in you getting a firework and a detonator. You can place the firework on the floor only. The firework will explode if the killer steps on it, or you press the detonator. Either of these results in the following:

If the killer steps on it, they are stunned, suffer from 5% Hindered for 6 seconds, flash-blinded, have a deafened effect and will see double (like the Clown's tonic effect) for 8 seconds.

If the killer the killer is within 6m, they become deafened, suffer from 5% Hindered for 3 seconds and see double for 6 seconds.

All survivors within 12m with wave their hands in the air, scream (randomly up to 4 times) and run with 10% Haste in a random direction away from the killer for 5 seconds, regardless of anything they were doing.

You become invisible to the killer for 10 seconds, but can only walk, leaving no blood pools nor sounds (but collision remains).

Everyone within 18m can see each other's auras for 10 seconds, as well as the auras of generators, killer belongings, chests and pallets within a 24m radius of them.

Drebin: "When I see 5 weirdos dressed in togas stabbing a guy in the middle of the park in full view of 100 people, I shoot the bastards. That's MY policy"

Mayor: "That was a Shakespeare-in-the-park production of Julius Caeser, you moron! You killed 5 actors! Good ones!"
