Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Why wasn't SBMM implemented with all the influx of new players? We need Patrick back ASAP.

I know there's a lot of deception going on at the moment. MMR clearly does not exist and has been gone for a long while unless you play at times when no one else is playing.

I understand that you want faster matchmaking times but being stuck with bad teammates who refuse to do generators or don't even know what a tile is, no matter how many base kit features you add, that will never fix anything. Not even a tutorial will be possible. SBMM was not something that was supposed to make a player happy or be deceptive like the current (or the old emblem) system is now, it was straight up the right thing to do.

As a killer I do not want to face a baby survivor, nor do I want a strong team to have one baby survivor on the team either. I want to face what I deserve to face no matter how stressful that is, because I know that the lower levels can actually learn how to play the game. It is unsatisfying gameplay, also content creators have been manipulating this to display that they are "good at the game." 3 years ago facing good teams was quite prevalent and honestly something I miss very much. 2k, 1k or even 0k. It removed the revolving door experience that DBD was always plagued with and unfortunately returned with the removal of this SBMM system.

As a survivor I do not want to be put with bad teammates and faced with a veteran killer at the same time, you cannot play with 90 second generators with this caliber, it's literally impossible. I WOULD EVEN SAY that DS base kit and unbreakable base kit wouldn't even remedy the problem. That's how bad the game has become. Longer generator times only make sense when a low-level survivor is put against a killer that cannot track efficiently.

Look, I understand, a lot of work to fix this. Or maybe Patrick is the only one who understood the actual math here, but this has to change or go back. You simply cannot enjoy DBD anymore or even just learn how to play the game. I cannot fathom anyone that is actually enjoying this system, facing inferior opponents, or as survivor it's even worse being put with teammates that are technically against you also with a killer that has good enough tracking.

Please at some point, split the low-level players, mid-level players, and high level players away from each other. We also will need proper ranking for this as well, that can only be read ourselves not other players. Your game is always going to be toxic, you cannot stop this, end the deception. We need to see if players are smurfing etc.

We need SBMM back, not only for the veterans but anyone who wants to join the game.
