Is this bannable?
I saw this on one of kyto's videos and I loved how it looked. I would like to try it myself however I dont know if I can be banned for this or not?
Will I be banned if I attempt to make the game look like this? If I wont be banned how do I even do this?

Using shaders (what he is using) is not bannable, though not reccomanded by BHVR nor easy to do the first time.
If you want shaders, do so VERY carfully. It can easily soft-lock your games (personnal experience) so make sure to watch a detailled video
If, same as I, something goes wrong, you will need to deleate and reinstall the game

Unfortunately it's a cheat that changes maps realms visual look, plus he was fov cheat

Basically all comp players have dedicated shaders for each map, and they seem to not be in problems.
To the topic, yes, you can use shaders if you want to.

Don't you see? It's obvious that firstly there is a huge FOV, and also the map realm tampering with another maps realm, there is no such reshade to change the realm of the maps so much, I watched that new Kytos video and he is definitely using cheats to create such "beautiful" content and tbh I liked such visual changes🔥

Its not considered cheating. Its something you can do at your own risk

For those that do not know, shaders are done at the GPU (graphics card) level. They have nothing to do with DBD. It’s not a “cheat”.

Using shaders is not bannable, but it is use at your own risk. Even fog whisper members like Otz and SpookyLoopz (I believe?) both use them.

That is a massive FOV

If it gives you an unfair advantage I'd argue it is.

Yeah and others don't believe it's obvious that Kyto uses cheats to create such a crazy beatiful footages😍, it's even more obvious by his other old videos

The maps are completely normal, it just looks huge and of course pretty distorted because of the insane fov. Also if it's reshade it's not a cheat, bhvr allowed people to use it and as far as I know they did not specify anything you can't do why it - so no matter if it's a cheat morally for you, it's not a cheat regarded to bhvr.

The devs don't consider it as cheating so it's not cheating.

Everyone has their own definition of "cheating", but I ask myself two questions:
- Does it confer a gameplay advantage over stock DBD?
- Can anyone on any platform safely replicate it?
To me, if it's yes to the first and no to the second, it's cheating, whether the devs come out and say it or not. Ultimately, it's up to the individual, as DBD is already a hilariously imbalanced mess trying desperately (and failing) to be properly competitive. But to me the minute you start tooling around with the visuals, you've started up a slippery slope.
As far the OP, shaders and such aren't explicitly bannable, but if you cross some arbitrary and ill-defined line and get popped, there's no coming back. After all these years I wouldn't risk my account for an aesthetic change, but that's me.
