Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Smoke bombs cannot stay.

I'm so sorry, but smoke bombs are the greatest mistake since DH having a dash. Every single match its just 4 smoke bombs and it renders the game unplayable. You're just running around blindly in smoke like its lights out game mode the entire match but you can't opt out of it since it's the normal queue.

Maps can already be hard to navigate for me sometimes, but there isn't even a map anymore this patch. I just don't see a way this item is justifiable, it genuinely makes me not want to play killer.

i havent experienced much trouble with them. if you pay attention, you dont really get lost and them running vials means they arent actually op stuff.

good to them if it works for them tho

While they are a bit overtuned rn, with the PTB iri add-on made almost entirely basekit, saying they are completely unsalvageble is a great overstatement.

They should be adjusted, yes, but they can end up as a really fun stealth mechanic.

i dont like them, you see someone on a gen, you walk towards tthe gen, they pop the fog and now its a gambling hide and seek, to not talk about getting into a locker with head on can easily make a fog a stun, also they are very toxic to face for killer and i dont enjoy ending on maps with high walls and loops become gambling, this is a day 1, 5 games opinion with them

Yep. Too strong. Just toss it when the killers is closing in on your gen and get away for free. No aura, no sound is the dumbest decision.

There's literally no counter to these. They block surv noises, aura perks, and trails but survs can still hit you. 4 fog vials are all survs need to never be caught at a gen. These are awful.

I was gonna open up with Pyramid Head but maybe my first killer tonight ought to be the Unknown lol

Why does it blind the killer for that long? No auras outside the fog too?

Imagine talking about Lights out while it was a totaly killersided gamemode.

The few times I've encountered them they haven't been too bad. The only times I've had them help lose a survivor I was chasing is when they already broke LOS with me before popping it, there was already a bit of distance between us, and we were in an area with lots of LOS breakers and multiple different directions they could have theoretically gone.

Otherwise you can still see them easily enough if you're already close before they pop them, and can often guess which direction they went based on the surrounding environment. You can also see scratch marks just outside the fog that can indicate where they went or if they dipped back in.

But yeah, sometimes it helps them win the chase - that's kind of the point of the item.

Singularity and spirit have it the worst. Spirit is just a powerless 4.4 m1 killer and singularity now has TWO counters to his powers because you can't lock on with a bipod through the fog.

Having SWFs cycle EMP's and vials constantly ruining my chases is the most garbage experience ive ever had in this game.

yeah I experienced that already. I think singu's interaction seems unintended and rather unnecessary, but I still stand by what I said.
