just finding it harder and harder to come back
i know il get flamed for this but hey i get flamed after every killer match even when i dont tunnel or slug so who cares XD
use to be obsessed with this game now im taking longer and longer breaks
decided hey new chapter is out lets play it
I get the wraiths map and no joke a gen pops as soon as i get to the other side of the map…i find a suv and another gen pops as i get my first hit on him
finally downed him i felt it took maybe…40 seconds and another pop so by this point its over 2 gens left
not even going to mention the bugs the game should be bugs by daylight at this point….just finding it harder and harder to play this game i get excited to download it yet after a few matches im already over it and this is after a year break.
i wish there was another game like this out there that was actually good so the devs cared about the quality of this game but ah well what can you do…also whats with the steel beam when you load into a match?

Devs are out here butchering C tier killers while handing survivors an "I Win Chase" button. You can't make this up.

Honestly, I think this patch went in the wrong direction. It feels like the developers are continuing to cater more to the survivor community while leaving the killer role increasingly thankless. Survivors just got a wave of tools to stealth, reset, and extend games, while killer 'buffs' are mostly minor quality-of-life changes that don’t shift the power balance.
Perks like Fog Vial, Come and Get Me! and Throw Down all promote more drawn-out chases and rescues, making it harder for killers to maintain pressure—especially in solo play. Add to that map designs that already favor survivors and a matchmaking system that doesn't account for SWFs. It speaks for itself.

Can you show your stats please? I honestly think major issue here comes from "feelings" part ignoring evidence.
For example, I also would like to avoid SwF if I was able, as I don't run meta killers. And sometimes I think I'm bad here and there. But once I checked my stats for last month, I had exactly 100 games with killrate around 70% which is not bad at all, and hardly anyone can tell - Oh my, Plague is S tier. She's average at best.
If we check killers with thousands hours, they easily have XX or XXX kill streaks that only proves killers are in okayish position with only exception diehard swf marine squad.

Cater survivor? You know that the dev have succeed to nerf the key (and buff the map, dunno why) , and the free unhooking 4% are done? You have to take an item for the chance, or a perk for having the ability to unhook yourself (and not necessarly succefull), there's no possibility to let you die on the second phase, even if you are one of the two last survivor AND the game is immediatly a win for killer if the 4 survivor is on a hook? (there's no more phase of strugelling)
If, as killer, we have more than 5 minutes to get a game, there's a reason, read the patch note and give me where the basekit from killer got touch in a bad way (I don't talk about perks, because the dev nerf some of them for no reason sometimes, like territorial imperative)
Even the new item, the fog vial, got nerf, and then, people complain that survivor only bring toolbox and medkit… It's just a normal reaction1 -
I'll be the first to agree that the garbage tier killers (and there's quite a few of them) need buffs, but 3 gens for 1 down is almost always because you did something wrong. Especially seeing as the survivor spawn logic has changed and they now all spawn together, which is better for the killer as it takes them longer to split pressure.

again tried another game i was back to back hooking people i had 5 hook states at 5 gens
then all the gens just pop one after another and it ended with a 1kill
someone i chased looped the window 3 times and it didnt block then she dead harded -shrugs-
might try again in a few chapters but honestly im just holding out for a new game like this one

First of all show status so we can see your winrates on killer.
surv catering when all new Maps are lack good pallets and old ones are reworked to become garbage and all new Killers have antíloop and map mobility só they free downs on most survivors. Removing 4% also and making crows spawn Faster to mess stealth survs
If that wrath games real they probably had cheats. 1 gen would Need at least 1min to pop and wrath hás mobility. The main issue is obvious average killers Need some gen delay perks. Didnt they buff friends an already strong perk? If use it on wrath.
Fog vial is annoying tho. But at this point the item is in test mode.
As for Toxic do you play surv? I can tell you i feel like punching a wall most games. Dbd is extremely stressfull to the point the games meant to BE casual but players are so scared of losing they sweat every match. And it sucks not being on the powers role but hey...what others role lets people team up? I think most Toxic players don't play both roles otherwise they would have more empathy.

It is possible to completely misjudge where they spawn tho tbh. Like sometimes they literally spawn in the tile next to me, if I didn't run lethal on knight I never would've realised.

You just literally wrote yourself where's the problem. Survivor loops you in circles and you follow him like obsessed. The moment you see survivor is looping you, change your focus. Because 3 other people are stick to gen and have free time.
Also please show us killer you play.
If you allow me give you few advices, one would be dependant on your killer choice, is set up your advantage (In case you play Trapped, Hag or Plague) then quickly find survivors and find out who's good at game and who's weaker. To outplay really good player, force him to risk his life unhooking or protecting teams weakling. If you start your game stubbornly following looper, it's most likely dead end.

Sure, I could show stats—but pretending stats alone disprove balance issues is shallow. A 70% kill rate over 100 games with Plague doesn’t mean killers are fine; it means you played well with a killer that has built-in slowdown. What you’re ignoring is that balance problems don’t disappear just because high-skill or meta builds can overcome them. If the killer role requires top-tier macro, gen regression, or specific killers just to stay afloat against solo queue—let alone SWF—that’s not healthy balance.

Yes, some survivor tools were nerfed—but that didn’t shift the power balance. Losing fringe mechanics like keys or basekit 4% means very little when they’re replaced with tools that extend chases, offer more resets, and make unhooks safer and easier. Survivors lost niche options and gained consistent advantages. That’s not balance—it’s a repackage.

Tha'ts the problem. Which killers? Killer on S tier are fine. I doubt anyone will complain about Nurse or Blight being weak. If you play lower tier, yes, it's a problem. But you yourself described your problem here. Guy looped you and you as killer didn't managed to come back from it. It's not overall general killer problem.
I have a lot of things to complain about my Plague too, but this game is bugged to the core. Fix bugs first. You can't even imagine how I'm tired from unregistered hits while survivor get hit and nothing happens or how my puke disappears mid-air.
SWF is a core problem in this game. I doubt anyone will even argue about it.

I agree bugs and SWF are major issues, but the bigger problem is the imbalance where only a few killers are truly viable at high skill. Needing specific killers or top-tier macro to stay competitive shows the game favors survivors heavily. Survivors keep getting strong tools to extend chases, while killers get minimal counters. Also, just to be clear, I wasn’t the one who downvoted you.
