Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Fog vials is best addition to game

Finally survivor has some form of counterplay which is also skill based. I quit a while ago but this single item makes the game fun again for me. Since survivors are 80% of the playerbase it would be a good idea for devs to keep making the suvivor experience more dynamic and fun instead of pandering to killers all the time.

I love it it brings some stealth back and helps with tunneling.

punishing tunneling doesn't help you need to remove killer agency to even tunnel. cant tunnel if you can't see where the unhooked survivor went.

Eh… do you really think so? I personally don’t have issues with the fog — tunneling in fog isn’t a problem, once you’re close you usually don’t lose survivors, even with double fog. But: if the fog denies my killer abilities too much (like Huntress’ long shots, for example), it kinda motivates me to just go for a quick, clean end to the match — and then maybe even tunnel straight. So y, I’m honestly surprised so many people see it as “tunnel help.” Often it feels like the opposite, doesn’t it?

(same with people who w-shift super early and just vanish into the fog. Guess where the pressure comes from then? The hook and the tunnel. Also, ye, funny item — but as tunnel help, it can backfire real quick.)

    what u can do..

Against some killer abilitys it’s definitely situationally super strong. I was playing a bit of Spirit earlier, the fog vials and that muffled sound really gave me really, really trouble. I’ve also had Huntress give me problems with the fog at long distance a couple of times. So ye, the item is definitely not useless if you use it right, I’d say. But using it as a pure “stealth” item? I’d be careful with that. Expect that if the killer is close, they’ll still have no trouble tracking and following you. That’s not so hard .. but y, against spezific killer a strong item. - no doubt.
