GPU usage constantly at 100%

Hey,

I've been getting lags and freezes for months now only in DBD without being able to figure out why. Today I noticed that my GPU usage is almost constantly on 100% and my GPU gets up to 90 degrees hot if I play on ultra settings. If I play on normal settings my GPU only get's up to 83 degrees hot but the GPU usage is still 100%. Does anybody know how to fix that?

I use the AMD RX570.

    GPU usage at 100 percent and high temps is very normal, especially if it is set to prioritize max performance over power. This does not mean the card is pushed to its limit, it could have plenty of headroom.

    The stuttering and hitching in recent months is an issue that is likely related to the game engine, not your GPU (though a lower end GPU will exasperate the issue). I have the same problem with a card much more powerful than yours, and last year I could run DBD butter smooth with no hitching and the visual fidelity looked nearly identical to today. So something is very poorly optimized in newer updates. I have also observed many streamers with very strong PCs and GPUs, much better than mine and yours, also experiencing these same hitches and stutters on a regular basis. Meanwhile, I have no such performance issues in other games that have far greater visual fidelity.

    As long as a GPU is "pegged" which is a term in tech industry at between 90-100% usually 99% to leave headroom but 100% is fine.

    If it was like sub 70% you are not utilizing one piece of your hardware enough, usually cpu will be like 30-50% if its like 80-100% then it usually means your cpu is not good enough or bad optimisation.

    I had a 100% gpu glitch 2 Times ingane. Game just Froze and my mouse was running at 1 fps.

    Imagine how long it took to close game on task manager
