Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Should perks work differently for each killer?

For example old spirit was using stridor but they nerfed the perk instead of nerfing the killer which she can’t hear sound instead spirit is suppose to see scratch marks.

Also I’ve been wanting to point this out because no one has ever addressed it. Some perks for killers are op for them and some perks are weak on some killers. And every killer is different not all are the same.

Nope, never. Specific killers should be modified if something is too powerful/not good on them. And that is the case for majority of the roster. Far too many sit at C-B tier when they should all be at a healthy A tier. Perks shouldn't be much stronger on specific killers, it should feel like you can get the same value if you were to play anyone. Admittedly, it'll take awhile for the team to balance all these killers into being around the same strength, if they ever plan on doing so (I think they should)

Thats not really possible. Due to the nature of how killer powers are varied, it makes sense for some perks to synergize better with some killers more than others. Thanaphobia is obviously going to be stronger on killers who's power assists in having many survivors injured like Legion rather than killers who generally go after 1 survivor at a time like Billy. Theres MANY examples of perks that assist some killers better than others based off how their powers function.

Thana should be reverted. It does exactly what you said better on specific killers only. When it was a flat percentage added per injure, at least it got the same value on all other killers, the slowdownis just too high. But in its current state it literally rewards killers who get effortless injuries.

Perks are for general use in the first place… so let's not and say we did

Even if you tweek the numbers, the point is... more ppl injured=stronger overall effect. Perks dont singlehandedly determine a killer's strength, but they definitely have a role in it. Thats why a Killer who might be considered weak normally can get a drastic boost with the right perk combo. Here's kind of an old video showcasing old Bubba before his rework and how new perks had a huge impact on him.

I can't give a verdict on the balance implication of this accross all Killers (but would over complicate things, so probably not a great idea?), but I know I'd like to see at least 1 vault speed perk increase The Legion's Feral Frenzy vaulting speed.

Vaulting windows in Frenzy felt so good with the full 5 stacks of bugged Fire Up a few months back. I miss it every day.

It's not very realistic, especially because the game wasn't designed around this. Hypothetically if there was a perk that everyone thought was really healthy for the game, but it was just totally broken on one killer, it would be more realistic to just not let that one killer have it (and this also would never happen).

They already have issue to handle balance, this would be hell on earth.
Also so much more bugs with such a system.

Honestly, they could just set the perks in certian category and make them weaker if stacked with eachother, this would solve the issue with haste stacking or gen-regression stacking.
