Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

You Need To Do Better

The current state of the game is unacceptable.

This game has been held together by sticks, tapes and prayers since it released and it's only been getting worse with each update. Why has the conversation of fixing the majority of the games spaghetti code not been brought up in meetings as a top priority or discussed with the community?

Is the game so internally clustered that you physically can't address the majority of these issues?

Remaking the games code and pausing the VAST MAJORITY of future content is something that needed to be announced months ago. You just had two banger licenses back to back with the biggest player count this game has ever seen being achieved yet both new and veteran players are having quite possibly one the worst experiences possible. New players are still thrown into that barebones tutorial with the only in game help outside of that being the brand new Into The Fog quests (which are serviceable but still don't teach the game past a outdated foundational level), while veteran players are still experiencing bugs that have existed for LITERAL YEARS and have to deal with awful game design choices (Clown and Fog Viles being the most recent examples of this).

This isn't even mentioning the streetwise situation where you refuse to backdown and kill switch the perk (it comes off as you having an ego against your own community).

Overall the only future I see for this game is a genuine top to bottom remake of the games code and foundation which would open up the door for so many improvements and innovations (killer power design, perk design, graphics etc) and HEAVILY reduce the amount of bugs by such an insane amount I'm surprised it hasn't already been done.

With all due respect Behaviour live service games are a symbiotic relationship and you have not been holding up your end of the bargain.

I will be refraining from buying new content until at the bare minimum the current bugs are fixed and I
implore the DBD community to do the same.

This is a great Idea, remaking the code would help make it easier to fix things in the Future, and the devs need to actually LISTEN to their community, and hopefully if they redo the code and stuff, they'll make the game more optimized and easier to run on lower end systems.

After today’s stream my points are proven, shutting down Otz like that when he was trying to help and banning people in chat offering the same advice speaks volumes about the insane ego you guys have.

Additionally the whole Ddos thing could have been prevented had you either A) Remedied the issue that has been reported for months (I understand Ddos issues are impossible to 100% fix however that doesn’t excuse you doing nothing at all), or B) Listen to one of the most experienced, knowledgeable and dedicated DBD streamers ever who knows a temporary fix, and what did you choose? Option C) Do absolutely nothing but stall and then end the stream.

    Truly embarrassing.

Wonder if they could hire a seperate team to start rebuilding the game up on the side, like, while the main devs are working on dbd, this extra team will be rebuilding the entire code and implementing all the characters/cosmetics/animations/maps/perks/values etc into this new coded game, all while the main team still works on dbd. Eventualy they might get caught up to the latest chapter and be able to convert the whole game over to this new coded version after everythings been tested of course, kinda like overwatch 2 isnt really 2 but just a new version of 1
