Streetwise Question

So, was watching the new Spookyloopz video and he mentioned an exploit with Streetwise. Can someone explain this to me? I don't use Streetwise and haven't seen any other Survivors using it, so I don't know what the problem is - I'm assuming it's a bug that needs to be fixed, but what exactly does it do?

    if you brought streetwise and found an item in a chest that used the old charge system (medkits, toolboxes and flashlights), if you already had an item in your hand when you opened the chest, you could repeatedly spam the pick up button to cycle your items to keep adding the +80% charges to your item basically granting you unlimited charges. this of course got kill switched but it seems the perk will be reenabled and fixed with tomorrows hotfix.
