So much 'Us vs Them' these days...

100% agree. There would be almost zero divisive, toxic posts that are always littered with the words “killer mains” and “survivor mains” if people bothered to actually learn how to effectively play both sides and not just immediately give up and call for nerfs when they inevitably struggle at first (which by the way happens to all new players).

It's BHVR's fault. If they had more balanced patches that didn't actively screw over Survivors EVERY time, then there wouldn't be as much "us vs. them" arguments. They'd still exist, but wouldn't be as prevalent, because right now it's true, even if BHVR doesn't want it to be. This may be an unpopular fact of life, and I know the downvotes I'm going to get, but that doesn't change anything - BHVR's decision making has been disproportionally anti-Survivor, with the recent inclusion and then hard nerfing of Fog Vials just because a few Killers found them annoying. It's not fun to play Survivor right now, whether you win or lose, and the only people to blame is BHVR. Complacency and burying criticism won't change that.

No, it’s not somebody else’s fault. It is possible to voice your opinion without constantly blaming “killer mains” in every post or claiming (without evidence) that BHVR has some kind of nefarious agenda against survivor players that make up a vast majority of its player base.
Almost everyone else here has been capable of voicing their opinions and providing feedback without resorting to “us vs them”.5 -
It was a mistake adding a downvotes button here to begin with.
I said it before, and I say it again. This community has a big negativity problem and adding a downvotes option just made it worse.
Don't know if the tribalism has gotten worse though, as it has always been really bad.

The amount of downvotes just proves your opinion, huh…
Some people genuinely want to believe specific side is under princess treatment, so they can deal with the problematic design by blaming their opponents

Devs arent on one side they are on both but more on which is just benefiting them more this update it was more survivor side from beginning only reason things like streetwise were killswitch is because cominuty preasured devs this perk is game breaking in this state if this didnt happen that perk would be still usable in the game and no bans for abusing it thats another problem they have banned people for less.

It's saddening, but anything which garners an emotional response is more likely to receive views and stronger interaction, than any polite posts. Posts which are more interesting and are about creativity or promoting a healthy discussion doesn't always create the emotions needed. As a result, the same spew is regurgitated, yet people swarm to it.
If what I am hearing is true, the downvote system will make this worse. People will start to downvote others and team up with people to upvote their posts, even if it's turd. It's a device inadvertently (to give benefit of a doubt) put in place that encourages rage posts and furthers tribalism. Then again, this probably happened even if it was just upvotes. They're better off scrapping that alltogether.
I much prefer less combative conversation. Can't say I've never gotten involved, but I like to be as rational as can be. Even then though, some people get touchy or read into something and guess what tone it was read in.

The evidence is right in front of your face. Every patch negatively impacts Survivors. The whole design of the game is against Survivors. Whether intended or not, how BHVR has balanced the game paints a specific picture.
The recent Fog Vial BS is the perfect example - after years of having to deal with the same old, stale gameplay loop, Survivors finally receive something new, only for BHVR to heavily nerf it due to complaints from a vocal minority of Killer mains.
Their speed on fixing things that affect Survivors is vastly different to their speed on fixing things that negatively affect Killers. Springtrap's bug went ignored for almost a month while Streetwise was fixed within a week.
They took Killer mains' complaints of "gen rushing" seriously and did an actually decent fix for it by making Survivors spawn together, while all of their "fixes" for toxic strategies that Killers can do have been placebos.
When they rebalance a map, they don't do it with Survivor's in mind - just look at Lampkin Lane, which they turned into the worst map in the game.
The amount of viable perks Survivors have is far smaller than the amount of viable perks Killers have.
The amount of viable add-ons Survivors have is far smaller than the amount of viable add-ons each Killer has.
Survivor's bloodwebs are cluttered with useless items like the map, key and now fog vials, while Killer bloodwebs only have a small amount of useless clutter.
You can deny it all you want, but the evidence is clear - whether they do or not, BHVR has made it abundantly clear they don't care about Survivors. Now, that's not the Killer mains' faults - but when you're the people benefitting from the developers' bias, you're going to receive part of the blame. Whether that's fair or not is up to you, but that's the truth. Arguing would still exist on these forums regardless, but if BHVR was actually competent, that arguing would just be mindless drivel. But because they're incompetent, they've, no matter how unintended it may be, added fuel to the fire far too many times.

I sometimes forget that this game is rated 'M' for 'Mature.'
