Rant about stuff.

I've expressed some serious frustrations recently on here, 1 thing I want to do though is just speak a general rant. Agree to disagree whatever, these things are from a general both sides view that I find annoying from most recent situations with this game. So apparently Fog Vials you know the item that's not even been out 2 weeks FINALLY a new survivor item that's a more thought out version of those terrible Halloween event pickups, yeah nerfed already (fair enough though) but now being nerfed AGAIN from being unlimited use on a cooldown to being tokens just like everything else. It was cool ok, it was cool that it didn't have a use limit except for the cooldown was that REALLY so bad?

But no the new item is being made boring, before long no one will run it & it'll be back to toolbox gen rushing or medkit resets & the odd toxic survivor who still can't get a blind off with that flashlight they got. All without mentioning the other great frustration for me right now that being Clown still not getting nerfed despite being a massively overtuned problem right now. But hey everyone has ranted about that, I want to rant about not just him but all the other recent killers who all share one thing in common with this new Clown, SPEED.

I HATE SPRINGTRAP that should be made abundantly clear off rip, I hate the powers lack of a proper cooldown, I hate the hitbox & I hate how so much of what the killer does is FREE, free undetectable, free grab that avoids blinds & worst of all as I'll explain further free SPEED, he chucks the axe, misses & gains speed, he chucks the axe hits & gains speed. It's not necessary for the killer to get so much for nothing but it's also not necessary for every killer for the last 4 chapters to be given SPEED in any & every way. Dracula, dog form gains speed, Houndmaster lays dog trail & gains speed, Ghoul LOL, then this. Every killer from recent new releases all gain this speed buff from somewhere like they're not faster than survivors already. It wouldn't be as annoying if it weren't literally all of them back to back though. Stop making killers boring by just having them tunnel you down at Mach 10. It's not that there isn't counterplay as such but it sure isn't fun, killers whine that survivors are always the same things & yet here we have this now.

I don't know what more I could say or if there's any point. I don't like the vial change coming & I hate the speed powers that keep releasing, thanks clown for making that so clear as well, when are you getting nerfed!? If you read all this thanks, I'd love some opinions.

Yeah it’s really funny that they chose to target fog vials (which are now shower mist vials) with extreme haste because people using shaders complained. But they don’t have a problem with the extreme haste of The Flash … I mean The Clown. But I guess they’re one in the same now anyway. 🤷‍♂️

I wasn't having much trouble with turbo Clown until recently. I even used him myself. But I think I was doing it the intended way and not the toxic way, using the yellow bottles for map mobility and the pink when in a chase, and without using haste perks. And without tunnelling.

But yeah, the last couple I faced just charged their way back after an unhook and tunnelled. You can't even get out of the open before he's on top of you. Endurance is useless because he'll just hit you and overrun you again. I had one who downed me and carried me to my hooked teammate so they could mori me in front of them.

I like the character design and music, and I think he's one of the only physically imposing presences amongst the killer roster (along with Deathslinger), but he's currently too embarrassing to play as, even fairly. I feel bad for Clown mains right now. His reputation is in the dumps.

I agree about the vials and Clown but I just can't agree about springtrap. he's what I call a "killer designed for the survivor experience".

He definitely has the natural jumpscare elements that dbd should've always had, I just feel as though his power really needs some minor tweaks or potentially just some more sounds to listen out for just in case. Would be a massive help because otherwise he really is annoying to face. I won't bring up the argument of axe camping. I appreciate a difference in opinion though & must say not every killer will be everyones cup of tea for me Springtrap really bugs me but maybe not so much the next person. All fair enough

They're implementing answers for killers in response to everyone running perks that give them absurd speed. Want less killer speed buffs: nerf survivor speed.

Lol obviously the solution is make survivor slower you might actually just be a bhvr dev in his off time.

The last two killers feel way too tailored for beginners.

Take Springtrap, for example — I love almost everything about him... except for his axe (aka the training wheels).

    Let’s break it down:

    • Why is he faster than survivors while aiming the axe? No other ranged killer gets that.
    • Why is the hitbox so generous? Imagine if Huntress’ hatchets worked like that — it’d be busted.
    • Why does he get Haste just for throwing the axe?
    • Why does he get wallhacks after hitting someone?
    • Why does he get a safe pickup when the axe is in the survivor?

HE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE AN AXE IN THE FNAF GAMES. As far as I can tell, it’s from some random music video? This feels like a completely fabricated power designed to cater to newer players.

All of these mechanics seem intentionally baked in so that beginners can spend $20 and immediately start getting 4Ks. That’s frustrating, especially for players who actually want a challenge.

There’s something genuinely rewarding about mastering a difficult killer — Huntress, Nurse (yeah, maybe controversial), Wesker, etc. Try landing a power hit with one of them in your first few matches. It’s hard. It takes practice. And if you miss? You get nothing. No crutch.

I’m not saying we shouldn’t have accessible killers — but they shouldn’t be this hand-holdy. The game is at its best when skill and mastery are rewarded.
