    They are absolutely useless. You can "somewhat" notice a movement difference when using the award winning chilli (purple addon) but I'm never sure if it's not just my imagination or a real effect. I wish his acceleration addons would get a complete rework and make him swing like 3 times instead of 6 but let him IMMEDIATELY go at 140% movement speed during each swing. A purple addon is supposed to be strong.

    Right now you're better off just using the quick charge addons which makes him kind of boring as you can't toy around with different addons to change his gameplay.

    They honestly need to rework leatherface or at the bare minimum 90% of his add-ons.

    I don't think it was ever bugged. I just think most people don't understand what it actually does. Which is understandable because you can barely tell the difference even if you know what to look for. In my opinion, the only way to make award winning chili worth using is if you pair it with The Beast's Marks. Chili increases the rate at which you accelerate when using the chainsaw attack and Beast's Marks increases the top speed you reach when using the chainsaw attack.

    Paired together and you'll surprise survivors with just how fast and far you can run them down. Typically, as Leatherface you need to wait until you are basically in melee range before charging the chainsaw at which point the survivor starts putting on their juking shoes making the attack somewhat difficult to land. With the Beast Mark and Chili combo you can start charging the attack much earlier making jukes much harder to pull off. The downside is that charging the chainsaw takes longer than normal so windows are more difficult to deal with.
