If you had the choice on which one stays and which one goes which one would you pick that stays in the game?

    Toolbox

Survivors being allowed to heal themselves is strong, but it adds a level of strategy. "You heal yourself, take my medkit, I'm going XYZ", "This is a risky unhook and heal, should I use my medkit charges to save my friend, or keep it for myself?", "I missed a skillcheck! now I'm going to need a friend to top me off!", "I'm going to the place where my friend died on hook to use their medkit and heal myself so I can run to the exit gate before End Game Collapse gets me!"

I've seen lots of crazy plays and team choices emerge due to self healing as an item based option.

Toolboxes. Not at all. What do they even do? Make the first gen you're on finish a few seconds faster? That's it? That's not engaging or nuanced at all. The biggest brain play any survivor can have bringing a toolbox is saving a BNP until the last generator - and that's not strategy at all, really.

Medkits add a layer of nuance, consideration, strategy, and triumph to the game.

    Toolboxes do not.

Both items hurt the 1v4 aspect but my logic is this:

Medkits make survivors waste time off gens, good for not being as pressured but don't progress the main objective. Medkits also make solo q a lot more bearable, you could argue the same for toolboxes but I don't think that applies as much as it does here.

Meanwhile toolboxes speed gens up meaning Killer's have less wiggle room overall in a match; leading to faster games and overall less time for fun interactions/back and forths.

If one had to go, Toolboxes would be it.

Medkits helped me to dodge tunneling so many times, so people sometimes really underestimate their potential. When killers return to the hook , and teammate I rescued already healed, they more likely switching target. Medkits can help with fast rescue from dangerous slugging and snowball, and clutched my endgame so many times I can’t count it.

Medkits just helps in more cases then toolboxes. Toolboxes are extremely strong with specific build and when at least one other teammate running it as well, but my choice stays for med kits

I don't know that the results will be very clear because of how it's worded, but I could handle Medkits getting the boot over Toolboxes. I rarely use either, but Toolboxes have more functions to rack up points with. Plus I'm biased and run Strength In Shadows anyway.

    flashlight

    reason: none

but the smoke bomb I would absolutely pick

because it's not super usful anywhere including chase or stealth because its a big beacon of HEY LOOK AT ME

but I could see it as a good distraction

medkit and toolboxes are only "fine" items, rest is junk that should be deleted

You can pry my juiced-up commodious toolbox from my cold dead hands. I can just get someone else to heal me. But a toolbox with Built to Last and Deja Vu is a beast. Was even better before they ruined Streetwise.
