Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Killer and Survivor concepts (SPOILERS FOR E33)
THE PAINTRESS
Aline Dessandre, known as The Paintress by her creations, paints life within her late son's Canvas. Manipulated by the Entity, she now paints death and chaos with every stroke.
Her personal perks, Hex: Linen and Cotton. Hex: Chiaroscuro, and Scourge Hook: Painted Agony, allows her to remote hook survivors, afflict varies debuffs, and reduce her terror radius.

Essence of Chorma
The Trial becomes a blank Canvas for her to manipulate and alter to her heart's content.
Chromatic Spikes
The Paintress starts the Trial with 4 tokens. Holding the Power button, she enters free aim and can summon a spike of chroma from the position she's aiming. After summoning the first spike, which consumes a token, she can consecutively summon another and another within a certain timespan, consuming additional tokens. The spikes have physical collision, allowing the Paintress to hinder the survivor's path. If the spikes make contact with a survivor, it will injure them and apply Inverted.
Special Items: Canvas and The Monolith
Four massive Canvases are scattered amongst the Trial. Inverted survivors can find a Canvas and interact with it, cleansing them of their status effect. Survivors can only cure the Inverted state at their designated Canvas. After curing their Inverted state, the Canvas's aura will be highlighted in yellow and will be unusable to the Survivor for 80 seconds. It will turn to white once the cooldown is over. Should Survivors choose to continue with the Trial while Inverted, they risk being exposed to the Monolith. The Monolith and the Paintress' Creation sits on the outskirts of the Trial. Every 80 seconds, the Paintress' Creation awakens from her slumber to assist the Paintress. If a survivor is Inverted, Killer Insinct will activate on them, revealing their location. After 20 seconds, the Paintress' Creation returns to its dormant state.

PERKS:
Scourge Hook: Painted Agony
The pain that festers within you is too great to bear, and others suffer for it as you lash out.
At the start of the trial, 4 random hooks are changed into scourge hooks.
The auras of scourge hooks are revealed to you in white.
For every unique survivor hooked on a Scourge Hook, gain 1 token. Your terror radius is permanently reduced by 1/2/3 meters for each token earned.
"Renoir can grieve however he likes. But I get to grieve my own way."
Hex: Linen and Cotton
A Hex created by your skillful hands, allowing the essence used to paint to flow, granting you an advantage over the trial.
Start the trial with 4 tokens. While this Hex is active and while carrying a survivor, the Killer can remotely place a survivor on a sacrificial hook 16/20/24 meters away from you. Doing so consumes a token. Manually hooking a survivor grants another token, up to a maximum of 8. This effect will remain active until the associated Hex is cleansed.
Hex: Chiaroscuro
Beyond the darkness, you lure others to the light - a light that offers neither warmth nor comfort.
Every 80/70/60 seconds, a random dull Totem will become a Hex, cursing all survivors. While active, each survivor will be afflicted with one of four random effects.
•Generator progress will no longer be visible, with generator pistons acting inconsistently.
•Survivors will scream, becoming exposed for 60 seconds.
•Survivors leave behind blood trails while healthy. Injuried survivors become louder while healing and being healed
•Survivors will become deafened for 5 seconds, followed with Oblivious for 60 seconds.
After 80/70/60 seconds, the totem associated with the Hex deactivates and reignites on a different dull totem, reapplying a different effect.

MAELLE'S PERKS
Offensive Switch
When your enemy gets too cocky, you have to put them in their place.
After stunning the Killer by any means, the Killer's hit cooldown increases by 1/1.5/2 second for their next attack. This effect cannot stack with other instances of this perk. After a successful stun, the perk goes into a 60 second cooldown period.
Égide
Your spunk and rebellious attitude bellies your protective insinct.
While healthy, this perk activates. After taking a protection hit, the injuried survivor gains Endurance for 8/9/10 seconds. This perk cannot stack with other instances of it.
Invocation: Gommage
Being trapped within the Entity's realm hasn't dampened your ability to Paint, letting you alter the lives of your friends in your favor.
When in the basement near the circle, press the Ability button 3 to begin the Invocation.
Invocations take 60 seconds. Other survivors will see your aura during this and can join an ongoing interaction.
Once the Invocation is completed:
• You gain all hook states, placing you on death hook. Your aura is then revealed to the Killer for 80/70/60 seconds.
• All survivors lose one hook state.

VERSO'S PERKS
Until Next Life
In this world, you wish to fade, but not before saying goodbye.
After being sacrificed, the Killer's aura is revealed for 20/25/30 seconds. If you are the last one standing, you become the new Obsession, gaining the following effects:
• Your flashlight and flashbang blinds are 2 seconds longer
• You vault 15% faster
• Pallet stun duration increases by 1 second.
Decreases the chances of becoming the Obsession.
From Fire
You've grown used to heavy burdens, but you found strength in bearing them.
This perk activates after being hooked.
While affected by any status effect, including deep wound, stunning the Killer 4/3/2 times by any means will cleanse all negative status effects and instantly put you into the healthy state.
The perk then deactivates.
Burden
No matter the pain or the affliction, it's better to bear it alone than let others suffer them.
When a survivor is affected by any negative status effect, their aura is revealed to you. While near said survivor, press Active Ability 2 to transfer the status effects to yourself. Bearing status effects this way grants 3%/4%/5% Haste for 40/50/60 seconds.
The perk then incurs a 120 second cooldown.

PAINTRESS ADDONS
Ultra Rare

Esquie Doll:
Her eldest son's favorite childhood toy. After his death, Aline clung to it as she laid in his bed, wanting to be close to him as she possibly could.
- When the Paintress' Creation awakens, all Inverted survivors become Exposed if healthy or Oblivious if injured.
-Increases the duration of the Paintress' Creation's awake state by 10 seconds.
-Increases time before The Paintress' Creation awakens by 20 seconds.
Iridescent Canvas:
An abstract Canvas molded from the Fog. A malicious aura reaches out from the other side, beckoning with sickly sweet, false promises.
-Survivors who interact with a Canvas for the first time will have a Chromatic Spike summoned beneath them, injuring healthy survivors.
-Injuried survivors will be afflicted with Deep Wound and have their aura revealed for 60 seconds.

Sirène's Cloth:
The heart belonging to the Axon representing her, painted by her husband. The resentment she felt by its existence overwhelmed her.
-Reduces the number of tokens for Chromatic Spikes by 2.
-Survivors within 4 meters of a summoned spike are Hindered by 8%.
"She Who Plays With Wonder."
Visage's Mask
The heart of the Axon representing their late son, painted by her husband. Her disdain towards him grew when she laid her eyes upon it. His interpretation of their son was an insult.
-When an Inverted survivor heals a teammate, Inverted instantly applies to the healed survivor.
"He Who Guards Truth With Lies."
Hauler's Sack
The heart of the Axon representing their eldest daughter, previously known as She Who Shoulders The World's Burdens before being slain.
-After consuming all tokens, The Paintress gains 7% Haste.
-Increases recharge rate of Chromatic Spikes by 33%.
-Decreases window to summon a consecutive spike by 2 seconds.
Reacher's Hammer
The heart of the Axon representing their youngest daughter. Renoir especially put his heart and soul into its creation, hoping their reclusive daughter could see what he did in her.
-Survivors who complete a generator become Inverted and have their aura revealed for 3 seconds.

Pure Chroma:
The essence Painters need to create, represented as sweet scented flower petals.
-The Paintress gains 30% faster vault and pallet break speed while out of tokens.
Old Dancer's Garb:
In her youth, she was a talented dancer, dancing purely for the fun and craft. Her beauty and outfit caught the eyes of a young, passing Renoir.
-Survivors within 5 meters of a Chromatic Spike have their aura revealed.
-Reduces duration of how long spikes stay by 10%.
Musical Sheet:
Though she was initally disappointed her son wished to pursue music over painting, his talent for the piano brought her joy. The first piece he composed filled the silence of the manor serenely.
-While the Paintress' Creation is awake, The Paintress becomes Undetectable.
-Increases duration of the Paintress' Creation's awake state by 10 seconds.
Monochrome Mask:
Inside of the Canvas, Aline recreated her family. Even though she was in control, she still painted the scars her daughter suffered from the fire. Perhaps because she needed a reminder of who was at fault for Verso's death.
-Survivors injuried by Chromatic Spikes suffer Mangled and Hemorrhage for 70 seconds.

Gestral Figurine:
The model dolls her son used as inspiration for the Gestrals in his Canvas.
-Reduces pallet stun duration by 40% when stunned by an Inverted survivor.
Clea's Painting:
Her eldest daughter's skills began to outmatch her own. Her creations were beautiful, yet deadly, unlike her own. She didn't speak it aloud, but she was proud as she hung Clea's Canvas.
-Inverted survivors have their aura revealed for 6 second when performing a fast vault.
Monoco's Collar:
Aline was reluctant to take in a dog. But the pooch quickly wormed his way into their hearts, living on through each dog they'd adopt.
-Increases recharge rate for Chromatic Spikes by 13%.
-Decreases cooldown before being able to attack after using Chromatic Spike by 5%.
Renoir's Chroma:
It was once a beloved sight. Now all Aline felt was despair and anger as her creations were erased, leaving behind red petals.
-Increases the range for placing Chromatic Spikes by 33%.
-Increases the hit radius of Chromatic Spikes by 5%.

A crude portrait of their family home. The only painting of Alicia's that Aline found worthy enough to hang.
-While channeling Chromatic Spikes, see the aura of vaults and doorways.
-Increases duration of spikes by 1 second.
Wedding Ring:
Renoir locked himself in his atelier, leaving Aline to grieve their son's death alone. She slid off her wedding band and locked it away, letting go of their fading love.
-After injuring a survivor with Chromatic Spikes, their scratch marks become visible through walls for 20 seconds.
Old Chroma:
The petals were wrinkled and brown with rot. Very little could be done with it, even in a skilled Painter's hands.
-Decreases duration of the Paintress' Creation's awake state by 15 seconds.
-Decreases the time before the Paintress' Creation awakens by 33 seconds
-Inverted Survivors are no longer revealed with Killer Insinct.
-Inverted Survivors scream instead, revealing their location for 5 seconds.
Charred Family Portrait:
The fire claimed so much, including her beloved son. The family portrait managed to survive, but Aline couldn't bear to look at it anymore.
-Decreases the time before the Paintress' Creation awakens by 5 seconds.
-Increases time for Inverted survivors to cure themselves at Canvases by 10 seconds.
