More resources wasted on tweaking an idea that doesn't work instead of reverting the changes.
I am quite sure that the changes suggested on Twitter by a certain consultant will be implemented. And I predict that they will not be good, since noone (survivor or killer) enjoys this new "gameplay".

All they have to do is revert everything beside the reload buffs and he is good to go.

I still think the reload speed buffs and the 12% antidote buff and 14% toxin nerf are worthwhile changes.
Really good Clowns can use both bottles at tiles well, so get a buff overall, and the 12% would give Clown a little.more map.pressure umpf, whichbia usally where he struggles most.

The detonation delay (if that’s the right term) is the only thing I have a particular problem with. Clown is never really going to be a killer I enjoy as either role, but he at least had some skill expression when you had to correctly time the yellow bottles.
Keep some of the minor buffs he got recently but revert that change ASAP.

they're not going to fix the real problem because they don't play the game btw, even before these buffs you could equip rapid brutality+STBFL and hard tunnel one of the 3 non obsession, it's very hard to counter because 1 he doesn't care about endurance and 2 you can't loop him for very long

Yellow bottle aside, he got almost nothing but nerfs though. The reload buffs aren't even close to make up for what they did to his purple bottles and his addons.

he’s not gonna get nerfed until the end of september. the updated qoL initiative was just released and they stated they will be pushing back the PTB for the upcoming chapter to early September (possibly Sep. 2nd when 2v8 ends). meaning 3 weeks after would be September 23rd for the live release. unless they address Clown in the upcoming 3rd hotfix in 2 weeks, we’ll be stuck having to go against giga speed clown for over a month…

that's a buff you almost never need purples right now, you get more speed from yellow than old hindered effect, basic math you get permanent 15+% haste of 115% speed which is more than bloodlust 3, vs old purple bottle 15% slow effect of 100% speed

Pretty sure that's not how his maths work and either way, quasipermanent BL3 Clown already was a thing in previous versions anyway. Hell, you could have 128% Clown along 16m wallhacks, even.

Idk but usualy when killers preforms way better than devs wanted and comunity screams for change then its nerf, it was like this throuh the 9 years dbd exist.

That's how it works you speed yourself up or you slow survivors, your base speed is higher, that's why yellows don't speed survivors very much compared to you. Anyway devs should be able to figure it out, not many people think he's nerfed you're probably 5

I'd say he was moreso sidegraded. He got reload buffs, but you can't just ignore the 1 second yellow activation and 2% more haste on yellows, that's big. Meanwhile, his purples got kind of gutted. So now he's about as strong as he used to be, but instead of only spamming purples the whole game because yellows were bad, he now spams yellows the whole game because purples are bad. He still struggles in the same ways as before if survivors just prerun, slam gens, die in corners and don't try to loop too much. Prerunning is still strong against him despite the haste buffs.
I wish they could just find a middle ground. If they really wanted to make Clown players use both bottles, why not separate the bottle counts so he gets say 3-4 yellows, 3-4 purples, and reloads them all at once? But at the same time, they give him back his strong purple bottles. He gets the best of both worlds, but has to manage his bottles better than before. Strong yellows, strong purples, but he's incentivized to use both types, or else he'll find himself reloading constantly. Something like that.
In the end I don't think he's the kind of character anyone will ever truly enjoy playing against with how he just kind of wins loops and tiles with very little counterplay through big speed differences, as long as the Clown player uses their bottles right.

Unless there's another post I'm missing, I think saying 'nerf' as the title is not confirmed. Side grades are a common things were some things are weakened, others strengthened to try and adjust problematic issues without impacting the overall power.
It really isn't surprising as both survivors and clown players seem to hate the current version of Clown.

Did getting 2% extra haste and 1% less slowdown, 1 second faster haste startup and 1 second less lasting slowdown suddenly make him more overpowered than nurse?
