I honestly can't believe they completely removed the gen rush capabilities of this class COMPLETELY.😁
That crap of get hooked → unlock ability to get tokens → each token add 5% as soon as you touch a gen was immensely stupid.1 -
did they remove that? I thought this was added in on top of?

They did it got completely changed now we get Blastmine and Wiretap as an ult

what would you want the boons to be able to do as a boon class?

Exponential, Circle of healing, Shadow step that sort of thing

That would actually be nice. It would finally give a reason for the Totems to exist in 2v8.
Boons could start with Shadow Step and Circle of Healing, then after being hooked once, your boons could add Exponential and Dark Theory.

I think boons should be something for every class but if you choose to bring one then you sacrifice most of your power in exchange for being to get it back and give it to others in the boon radius. I think hexes should be similar.

Its a good change. While I don't think the 'get gen progress for those around you' was unbalanced, it was just weird.
Okay, if I had my way, each class would have some variability within it. I think the class system is great for allowing survivors an idea what each other is doing, but a little variability would be nice (an example being an escapist who can choose to take Lithe or Balanced Landing for themselves, though its always Sprint Burst for other survivors).
So in my ideal world, there would be variability to what the Boon class brings.
Presuming that can't happen and we aren't making new boon perks:
Probably Shadow Step and Exponential (which would need adjustments given that there is already a self pickup mechanism). Being one class is totally dedicated to healing I think CoH would just kind of step on that too much. This also makes boons more of a 'bring chase here' type of deal instead of 'come here to recover' practice.
Probably also give the boon class a boost after they complete a boon. Either like a blessing version of counterforce or overzealous (this could be there 'on first hook' ability).
Not sure what an ultimate would be though, but I think other than the Scout the ults are pretty meh (either in power or interest), so not a huge expectation there.

2v8 is my fav way to play DbD and now it's gonna be even better! Hope 1v4 gets rid of Gen Rush as well.0 -

not this time, but they added a play while you wait feature and tweaked some classes
