I want "Jim" removed from my inventory
I'm going to sound like a killjoy here, but this comes from my love/passion of the game. I don't think Jim is funny. "Jim" was a sign that not one person play tested that chapter. BHVR has a community full of super passionate people who spend thousands of hours playing their game, making art of their characters, writing essays exploring the lore…. And yet BHVR thinks it's a funny little gag to say "haha we didn't play this one 🤫".
Maybe add some cool fan made banner and badge submissions that didn't make it through the contest. Or maybe just give out iri shards or BP. This whole, "we're just a quirk chungus studio" thing is getting old. Show your players respect.

you received one of the most anticipated licensed chapters to date, and they showed you they didn't didn't even load into a game to test it. I have every right to complain? Sorry not everyone is just going going to take a picture of a bug and then laugh and a move on

Yes and I already explained I didn't find it funny. And And now we see them same "meme" dozens upon dozens of times a day. At one point, we were compensated with BP and iri shards for this type of thing. Responses like yours shows BHVR they can do the bare minimum and the community will still glaze them.

I don't know that I buy Jim specifically being an indication of poor quality control or anything. Minor visual bugs that pop up between PTB and Live are fairly unremarkable, and that's all this really was.
The other big bugs and problems with this chapter are the ones worthy of the really scathing criticism, not the benign goofy visual bug.I think it was ultimately a good idea for BHVR to lean in, since everyone was feeling pretty dour at the time, and most still are. The little moment of levity and acknowledgement of the situation was a good call.

I also don't want this bought and paid for corporate PR meme in my inventory either. Made solely for DC and probably created by plant accounts in the first place who gave it an identity and spread it to the community.

While there is a truth in your words, no need to take everything that seriously. Try to find a bit of something good and fun even in worst situation, it will make it less hard.

We might as well make a Jim rift since BHVR has abandoned developing lore in the rifts. We have a Jim icon- but no elodie badge (the main character of this tome). It's not as though this one little badge is mutually exclusive with those driven efforts, though.
BHVR have already said they're going to do a whole bunch of much more impactful things to address the current issues, and while there's no guarantee any of these things are going to be implemented well… whether or not their efforts bear fruit has nothing to do with them acknowledging a sillier bug this way.
The badge is a nice gesture, and it's part of a series of responses BHVR have planned. I get not personally being interested in the badge, I get finding the bug more annoying than funny, but I don't get acting like the badge is in any way at odds with serious efforts to fix things.They're currently planning on doing both. What's the harm in also playing along with a community meme at the same time?

The best way for you to voice your displeasure with the game is to speak with your wallet. By far the biggest reason that this same type of thing keeps happening over and over and over again is because BHVR is likely making more money than ever. As a for profit business, that’s really the only thing they should be worried about, and I honestly don’t blame them because obviously their strategy is working. They won’t be forced to do anything differently until revenue starts to drop significantly. We hear all this outrage and complaining on forums, YouTube, social media, etc, but the fact is that most people aren’t upset enough to stop spending money on the game and that is the reason why nothing ever changes.

Although the badge is harmless, I agree that forcing people to get something with no consent is a bit…off
I absolute don't like the FNAF franchise and I would be PISSED if they put something related to in my inventory against my will

bro they said they're adding more anti-camp and that their schedule is open for delays/changes. No mention of fixing the rampant cheating issue, no mention of killer they gutted in prep for a rework (no skull merchant changes, but Micheal gets an update?). No mention of adding tome lore back, no addressing the swamp. Hound master and twins still unplayable. The also never really admitted to snubbing Otz which is the most concerning aspect. They are very confident they can fix this without community input (this would be an excellent time for an emergency survey). The joke isn't funny and the gift isn't wanted on my part because I still haven't seen any accountability. We can joke after they actually admit they ignoring people who try to help them

Jim is proof that BHVR can abuse this community as much as they want and they'll take it with a smile so long as the corp plays it off as just a joke.
The fact that people are attacking you and others over voicing your discontent with this PR stunt is genuinely disturbing.

So do the worst thing you can to behaviour. STOP PLAYING THE GAME. Without purchases of new chapters and skins by you and everyone else who is offended, eventually the game will either die or quality must improve.

Jim is actually the entity from the multiverse. Hes the Benevolent version of the entity whos finally broken itto our entities universe and is the symbol of hope that one day, all survivors will escape the entities realm.
