This is 2019, why are we still getting matches with less than 4?

If someone doesn’t make it into the match, EVERYONE should be sent back to empty lobbies WITH our offerings. This crap of forcing us to play solo, 2, or 3 man if utter crap! With this new matchmaking system that matches us up with people on the moon, you’d better ensure that we have a full list of players before the match begins! And why the hell are we being matched with people on the moon? Maybe 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000001% of the people who play the game will play like that, but no one else will. Brain dead BHVR, wake the hell up!

CLARIFICATION FOR THOSE WHO CAN’T READ
This is about being forced to play in matches without a full set of 4 survivors. It is not about addons or offerings, though the latter is affected.

    They still haven't solved the infinite loading screen that's what happened in one of my games against an swf. One didn't load bur we still had fun regardless.

    They've not solved the "Three Man" bug yet either, where the 4th survivor don't join lobbies if you're already three in it..

    Imo if someone DC's killers should have the option of giving survivors a surrender button. Everyone gets 5k bloodpoints and a black pip while getting back any items/add-ons/offerings. Yes some will abuse it but if it is abused then we have what it is now.

    Abuse what? There is nothing to abuse. If there aren't 4 survivors at the time that the game starts, each player is sent back to a solo lobby, with their addons and offering as they were.

    This is a completely different topic, that is off-topic for this thread. I am referring to disconnects PRIOR to the match starting, NOT while the match is in play. Your solution WOULD be abused by everyone.

    And how would this change that? If you disconnect, you still lose your items, and 2 pips. I guess if only 1 person in the SWF takes the hit, that could possibly be abused under the current lobby system. Currently, once a player enters a lobby, all SWF information is lost. Part of this requires that it not be lost, so if 1 person in the SWF DCs prior to the match beginning, all in the SWF are penalized for the DC. It will have a nice side effect too, as those with bad Internet connections will either fix their connection, or risk losing their friends.

    Exactly, only one guy of the SWF loses his offerings (you dont lose items during loading screen dc btw), his mates keep all his stuff and this way they can conveniently dodge everythign they want.

    But we will never have a whole SWF being punished for the DC of one single guy since this would be unfair to the others. Also it woudl require a complete revamp of the matchmaking system

    This idea will probably be reality after the release of dedicated servers, maybe a dev will give us some information if that is planned on their list for the future.
    @not_Queen is this issue a topic in the team, do you have any information you can share with us?

    @Kaelum how is it off topic? The issue was disconnects wasting offerings. How can it be abused by anyone? It's the killer not wanting to waste UR add-ons on 3 or less survivors. Its not forcing anyone into anything, both killer and survivors have to agree to it. It's basically a reset because no one likes playing busted games.

    @Kaelum Again, how? The issue is disconnects wasting offerings. Thinking logically add-ons would be wasted as well as offerings. You said players should be sent back to the lobby with offerings. I thought of an idea to make it feasible.

    Yes you do lose your offering the moment that the display leaves to lobby. If you leave prior to the counter reaching 0, you keep your offering, and leave the match shorthanded. This latter option is allowed w/o any repercussion. Leaving after the screen chnages is not allowed.

    Maybe say you, not the devs. The devs seem to want to hold all memebers of a SWF accountable to the actions of others in their group, so we’ll have to wait and see. FYI, the “revamp” of the matchmaking system is almost complete, and it does keep track of SWF. This was stated several times in the dev streams last year.
