Play While You Queue backfired
The feature works great.
The only issue I have is that if I go to the surv queue and then click "Leave" to go back to the killer lobby EVERYTIME it kicks me out of the killer queue/I'm not Ready/queueing anymore.
BUT BHVR didn't account that people who would only want to play survivor before would now think "hey, let's play some killer matches too". I had an average time between 10 to 15 minutes in the last 2v8 and now it's 25 to 30.

Yeah this is true for me. I skipped killer last time because of the wait. Now I'm playing 1 killer match for every 2 to 3 survivor matches.
Waiting for killer #2 to show up has also been fun.
It's a good idea but might need some ironing out.

Same if you leave for any reason Leave survivor lobby, DC during a match as Survivor it boots you out of Killer Queue every single time

Glad to know I'm not the only one.
Thanks guys.😁2 -
You cant leave survivor lobby i think or it will cancle yourr killer que time, but its still better than having open game for half a hour to get one 10 minutes match and play survivor to earn more bp and chalages for rift.
One question how long killer ques you are having when you have there esteminated time for me its 27-35 minutes so 3 survivor matches and when its 0 after few survivor games then lobby is in 1-2 minutes. So what are your killer esteminated que times?0 -
21 to 28 minutes to be precise.

DbD has been trying to fight the law of supply and demand and it hasn't been going well for them.
People want to play killer more than survivor. This creates the obvious huge problem that the game needs more survivors. The one thing keeping people from playing killer has been the length of the queue times. BHVR keeps trying to think of ways to make the queue time not as bad, which in turn draws more players in.
Unless they can think of a way to make survivor radically more appealing (I don't think they can), this is basically what it will be.

It's subjective but i prefer how it works now than before.

I've said it before but a rotating queue is healthy for games like DBD. It's not perfect sure, but it is a step in the right direction.

Yeah "leave" also makes me "leave" the killer queue, so if you change your mind about playing survivor, you lose your place.

What if you are already in priority queue for killer and you invite a friend to join you? Does that put you to the back of the queue?

Good question.

You just need to reready and it'll unpause your queue time. In short, your placement is held, it just doesn't progress until you ready up again.

I found the answer. You stay in queue. Tested it. :)

Awesome!
Thanks!😁1 -
So it doesn't look like you can SWF as more than 2 people while queueing for a killer match either, if I'm not mistaken?

I also have another friend from Steam that just play surv and she wouldn't mind playing with us (me and my "1st" friend from Steam) as survivors and them watch our match as killer, but since I can't join their lobbies or them can't enter mine either we're unable to test this so far.

it always seems to kick me out if i play 2 games and end up with like a 10 seconds queue
i just started playing 1 game and waiting 10 mins or just waiting the full time while playing something else
its really annoying lol
tho game straight out refuses to work if u queue up with a friend for some reason, we both just kept getting kicked out to the main menu if we tried playing survivor while waiting
im just imagining the code screaming
