The Bloodweb is a mess

The new "era" of bloodweb is an absolute mess. All these literally useless map, key, fog vial add ons plus the items taking the spots of actually useful items such the basic medkits.

I literally didn't found a single medkit of any rarity in 45 levels which is insane. I wish I'd have recorded this. Worst bloodweb of all time, I hope we're gonna see changes in the near future.

    I wanna say this was even a problem dating back to when prestige maxed out at 3. There's no way that item scarcity becomes an issue the higher you go on accident.

    I totally agree they should remove the clutter. I have thousands and thousands of offerings and addons i'll never use because 90% of offerings 70% of addons are straight up useless. I do not agree with the statement that keys and maps are useless however, using them is like having bond/ windows, both of which are very solid survivor perks

    It's intentional. Behavior wouldn't dare touch medkits,toolboxes but they can nerf them in other ways. Specifically by making you in capble of getting a self sustainable amount of the items the addition of fog viles, change to key and maps all were nerfs to chest skills, searching chests in general item gen perks like dramaturgy. And blood web clutter. All perfectly orchestrated to nerf tool boxes and medkits. Besides the oldest players people will run out eventually.

    You are right.

    There are at least 10 offering which could be removed (map offerings not included) and many more that could be changed to actually do something.

    As far as items go, only flashlights and toolboxes even need more than 2 variants, simply because the others are all copy+paste but with bigger numbers.

    Add-ons are also an issue, there is no need to have 13 flashlight add-ons. Or 13 medkit add-ons.

    Some trimming is required.

    I believe they are talking about when prestige used to show in the lobby. Killers (sometimes survivors) would dodge based on that.

    Did they nerf cakes, streamers, survivor pudding, etc or is it just the sheer amount of useless junk in the web now that prevents me from getting them anymore?

    It's the junk in the bloodweb. To copy a comment of mine from half a month ago:

    Its because BPS have to compete with, for survivors:

    • 5 other types of bloodpoint offerings
    • 2 luck offerings
    • 21 map offerings
    • 2 item addons each for Flashlights, Medkits, and Toolboxes
    • 1 item addon each for Fog Vials, Keys, and Maps
    • 2 toolboxes and one of every other item
    • If the survivor does not have every perk unlocked, typically 1-3 slots that would contain a blue or higher rarity item will contain a perk

    Killers drop all the items + addons, the luck offerings, and one of the BP offerings to replace it with 5 blue addons, so you are statistically more likely to get BPS on killer than survivor, since the survivor chance is 1/45, while killer is 1/31.

    They could reduce this chance for survivor by:

    • making Bound Envelope a green offering
    • remove both Luck offerings, reducing it down to just Vigo's Jar
    • reduce the amount of addons for the stronger items to match up with those for the weaker ones (this would likely result in us losing Gel Dressings and Styptic Agent to keep Syringe as a Iri)
    • remove Mechanic's Toolbox (and Engineer's Toolbox)

    This would remove 7 items from the pool, bringing it down to 38, the smallest the pool can go down to without removing a item from the game or remove items from both pools (ie: merging the Nostromo offering into the Dvarka one, removing the emblem related BP offerings).

    Do you do the Bulk Spending? I did Bulk-Spending the other day for 58 Levels and I got 0 Escape Cakes out of it, while I am very sure that if I would have done it manually, I would have gotten more.

    There's just so much clutter in Survivor blood webs now. If I were prone to conspriacy theories, I'd say BHVR have cluttered our bloodwebs to make sure we get less med-kit and toolbox stuff rather than having to keep balancing these items.

    Fog Vials are OK if you find one in a chest, but I never want to see them or their add-ons in my Survivor bloodweb. Just not worth the BP. I think vials should be removed and be something that only returns in chests during events and time limited modes.

    I never used maps or keys before they were reworked and I still don't use them now. But I did find one or two in 2V8 and I exchanged it with something else at the earliest opportunity because I don't really like the new charge system. I rarely saw anyone use these items before the rework and that still hasn't changed. Kinda feels like they wasted development time on items that players rarely use (and probably upset the few players that actually enjoyed using them to boot).

    Never used map offerings on priniciple and I was very glad to see them nerfed. But they should probably be made common rarity now if they must still appear in our bloodwebs.

    I'm absolutely baffled at the community's apparent decision that keys are somehow worthless after being massively improved, it's mind blowing to me.

    To the wider topic though, bloodweb clutter is still very much a problem. I actually like that maps, keys, and fog vials have much fewer addons now (though the map could stand to have one or two more for completeness), it was a good move to try and cut down on the bloodweb clutter.
    Personally though, I think offerings are the biggest offender. There are a lot of offerings that don't really see use and only serve to be clutter, that system needs an overhaul.

    This. I couldn't avoid leveling my favorite characters at times and I knew it'd be a matter of time until I hit a high enough prestige level that I'd start getting lobby dodged by Killers. Thankfully 15-20 seemed to be the magic number before they were finally hidden.

    Ahh I see makes sense. I took a break for a while and recently came back. Kinda forgot the prestige showed in lobby.

    Yeah... I love this game but the bloodweb could be improved. I feel like letting the game take the decisions will result in getting a lot of trash. Now if I could give a preference of priority based on categories to flavor what I'm getting ... (First healing, repairing, bp-farming, etc and least prio on maps) I'd feel more tempted to give things out of hand and do what I love most: play the game

    Nah, keys are bad now, really.

    Blood amber got massively nerfed and been changed from purple to iri. That's why people aren't really happy.

    I would be fine if keys had more charges, iri wouldn't have downsides and the time was longer. I think a lot of people would be OK with this.

    If it comes to bloodweb, I would definitely get rid of a lot of addons/offerings.

    I would:

    1. Retire all map offerings
    2. Reduce fog offerings to 1
    3. Redude luck offereings to 1
    4. Reduce same addons for flashlight, medkit, toolbox but increase their numbers. Why do we need 3 batteries for 2, 4 and 6 seconds? Make it one with 10 additional seconds. Same with medkits - make charge addon for 24 charges, instead of 4 we have now.
    5. Buff or remove the fog vial - it's terrible now, does nothing.

    The Blood Amber was nerfed, but keys were significantly improved overall.

    As for the bloodweb… I'd be hesitant to just reduce the number of fog and luck offerings because they don't really do anything as they are. BHVR have said they want to overhaul offerings iirc, so I'd hope that fog and luck offerings get to have new effects on top of cutting down on how many there are.
    I'd also probably suggest pruning the bloodpoint offerings, personally. I don't think we really need the brown variants, they don't have much of a practical use.

    There's as much chance of it to happen as there is for Clown. Their ego simply can't bear the reality that all those reworks were failures.
