Why can’t dbd have every map with different weather conditions?
Just imagine ormond map with a raining weather. Or imagine dead dawg with a cloudy weather.

Would be really nice! I just hope they can implement it without it hurting performance too much.

Would be cool. Night maps becoming day and vice versa too.

I can hear the sound of the game crashing from here!
Really though, I kind of doubt that the game can handle that sort of thing.

its a shame, maps like RPD would benefit in terms of atmosphere if it was constantly raining or at least have lightning going off in the sky every so often. If the game ever adds a map with a lake on it the servers might just explode.

Sadly, this is true.
Would love to see some of the maps with rain, but the game would actually probably just explode tbh

RPD with rain would feel more authentic. Coldwind at night would be fun to see again too. Also Lery's during a thunderstorm would be a vibe.

They've had this as a question on player feedback surveys before. I'd certainly enjoy it a lot.

While it would be very cool, the game code already seems to be held together by duct tape and bubble gum, so I can imagine it would be impossible to do without breaking everything else. Not to mention the fact that it’s extremely poorly optimized, so you would probably need an RTX 5090 rig to run it at any reasonable frame rate.

Intend to agree. Such effects would prolly make a Switch melt and slide off into the floor! 🤣

The main buildings, tiles, loops, and pallets would need to be nerfed, to balance the survivor advantages the weather effects would give.
Remember that the farm maps need to be balanced around the fact that corn fields exist.

How can the weather effects benefit survivors?

I would have loved for different weather on all maps.
Or having weather be selectable through offerings, like the old boquets did with the lighting, an idea I have shared a few times.
So, daytime, nighttime, clear, rainy, foggy, and maybe even rain / thunderstorm. It would make for a new and fresh way to play the trials.2 -
Imagine most outdoor maps transitioning night to day over the course of the trial!
Be actual "Dead By Daylight"

Weather sounds will make it way more difficult to hear survivors when there isn’t line of sight, especially because sound occlusion is so overtuned.
Rain itself will make it more difficult to see survivors from a distance, because normally killers can look for any signs of movement, but rain means there is constant movement happening everywhere.
In addition, killers that make survivors invisible (Spriit and Dracula) will have a more difficult time, when rain is moving things like foliage.
Any sort of visual effects like fog, make it more difficult for killers to see survivors from a distance, so it’s sort of like long ranged free stealth for the survivors. And no, I don’t care that a few killers can turn undetectable, because that doesn’t help the vast majority of killers.

That would actually make a lot of sense. Progressing time of day. Or have the in-game lighting follow the real time clock. That would be so cool

Myers' breathing and Ghostface's leather rustling also come to mind.
