I feel like there's no slow down in 2v8

What I mean is per generator complete there's supposed to be a repair speed penalty but playing killer and survivor I noticed...it kinda doesn't exist. Playing killer 50% of the time by the time we're half way done on hooks there's maybe 1 generator left now I could be a skill issue but I also noticed on every map most if not all generators are 3 or 4 person. Now I get you can't make the generator penalty permanent then survivor would be a nightmare to play but I noticed if a generator is repaired a hook or two just removes the penalty so it kinda just enters the whole what's the point of the penalty if two hooks removes it. Then again why post this 2v8 stops being fun after 3 days but I would rather play this then deal with ghoul.

    Generator speeds in my opinion have been probably buffed in this mode's time around. Not to mention they gave the survivors Blast Mine which is freaking annoying to go against and pretty much time consuming after you have to kick the generator a SECOND time. I honestly see no real reason they needed to add Mine Blast into this mode of all things.

    I think it's because Guide originally gave a repair speed boost and well with the supposed buff you mentioned giving double repaired speed would be broken so they needed to give Guide something that being Blastmine and Wire tap which made Guide useless so everyone plays Escapist for the free sprint burst that you can use any time you want. Medic and Scout I think remained untouched because they're the perfect form they are not to weak but not to strong.

    I'm just so tired of 2v8 right now, its fun as killer because you get to play with another, but at this point? Its unplayable and unenjoyable when seven gens pop off before you get like 2 people second phase. Its heavily survivor sided whether anyone wants to believe it or not.

    No because I barely see any gens regressing or if they it's only a few seconds after the killer kicked it

    All depends what survivors you will get, if they are doing gens instead of chest,totems and poiting/slaping each other genitals then you might feel more under preasure. More hooks you have and less gens they have, gen speed is icreased and other way around slowed so if they have solid gen speed buff and attack multiple gens if you dont push them off and regress then they will do them faster. Last thing is map like asylum maps are the strongest in my opinion there are very strong paletts at higher numbers then farm maps or green vile and killer combination, killers like trapper and legion dont suport each other that much because they arent main pushers/force that goes and preasures survivors but they are support more and combination like legion with oni,blight,wesker or nurse will stomp many lobbyes because they have huge synergy and potencial.

    I do think this depends heavily on which killer and killer combo your dealing. For what I'll consider the weaker bunch (Deathslinger, Trapper, Ghostface) I think the slow down isn't doing much for, but for my games as mostly Hillbilly, I'm doing pretty good with a kill rate of about, 7/8.

    Something to not about this game mode, Tunneling (be it on purpose or on accident, and I'm not judging anyone who does tunnel) is making a difference. As soon 1 person goes down, you can see a fast amount of difference. I think the game should have a new anti-tunnel incentive in place:

    After two people have been hooked, hooking a survivor for the first time will add 5% slow down on gen repairs for 5 seconds, + 2 second for every first time hooked person. Not enough to actually incentivize survivors to not protect teammates from tunneling, but enough to slightly compensate killers who are trying to hook people who haven't been hooked before.

    Yup. literally everything was doubled in 2v8 BUT generators. For some reason they still are only +3 needed to power the gates instead of 5.

    you gotta kick the gens bruh, and you got legion anyways in 90% of games so everyone is gonna be mending already.

    Its only 1% per gen done. So great, that 90 second gen now is taking 0.9 seconds less time.

    The slow down definitely has an impact, with how fast gens can regress it can feel difficult to get gens done if the survivors get a good start (which is the point of the catch up mechanic).

    Now its not as impactful as the survivor catch up mechanic, but they accomplish different things.

    Yes, that's how it works, that's why its a catch up mechanic, one gen = two hooks. If the survivors and killers are both progressing their objective at roughly the same speed then neither side is going to get a boost and that boost is only supposed to have a small impact on the game.

    you are the regression, which is why mobility is king, like always. even teams that lack synergy like Billy/Spirit are good just because of that
