So nothing will be done about survs being able to stack gen perks and toolboxes?
No matter the buffs you want to give killer to compensate for the upcoming changes they will NEVER be enough as long as survs can dedicate an entire build to achieve their objective faster and not being "punished" for it.
Killer can also do that by tunneling and this is basically being erased from the game.
I'm not defending tunnel in any way aside from you having just one gen remaining and needing to take out a surv.
I just want to emphasize that Gen Rush like that HAVE to be eliminated as well.

How about survivors having other better items to bring instead of toolboxes, medkits and flashlights?
Ask the devs to either buff fog vials or remove them
And to revert keys and maps, and add a little buff to them

We don't know how other perks will interact with gens yet. I assume you'll still be able to block them. And you only activate anti-gen regression by actively tunneling (again, there's a loophole with purposely dying on hook/being left behind—which ironically the 3% might've helped with but I digress—but I assume that'll be looked at as well before live). In practice, I think tunneling will still very much be a thing. It just won't guarantee a steamroll quite as early, which is good.

I would REALLY like that SO MUCH, but so far nothing has been said.
The loop holes are worrying me.

So gen jockies should be punished through tunneling for doing the objective instead of clicking their flashlights and running the same obnoxious exhaustion/chase builds? Like what build to killers want? No gen build. No chase build. No second chance build. Like legit what do you want them to do? Cleanse dull totems with a meme build? I'd rather see a gen build then another godforsaken Lara Croft with Windows/Finesse/Lithe that loves looping the shack.
And you can still tunnel, you're just going to be punished for it. You can still do it and win.

Likewise with the numbers. It might just be another anti-face camp. I'm choosing to be hopeful that it'll benefit everyone in the long run. BHVR typically puts out one or two objectively good patches a year. Fingers crossed this is one of them.

By turbo tunneling (doing it at 5 gens) you're not giving a fair chance for survs to fight back, but at least you have to beat the surv in a chase. Survs use 2nd chance perks to avoid tunnel and these are REALLY annoying, but they need a certain lvl of skill to be used and can be dealt with.
Now with this proposed change they will surely be weaponized WAY MORE against killers.
Then we get to gen rushing. You don't need any skill to just sit and do gens faster than they should be. The killer is not given a fair chance because they ran out of time way sooner by a strategy that anyone without a brain can do.
And gen rush was never punishable, will still not be, survs can always do this and you can win MUCH easier than a killer who tunnels.Post edited by Dadeordye on4 -
We already know the answer to this question.
You can't heal, you can't stay injured, you can't loop or "hold w", you can't hide, can't use items, can't do anything the impedes the killer or buffs the survivor team. And under no circumstances are you to ever, ever do gens.
So you can do one of two permitted actions: either wait patiently in plain view near a gen (but never touch that gen, oh no) and wait for the killer to be ready for you, or open chests and leave the item inside, just in case it might be useful later.
Oh, and absolutely don't just "give up" but don't actually "try" in chase either. So, just a bit of running in circles with no mind games and absolutely no thrown pallets.
You are allowed to leave the trial when and if the killer gives you permission.

Yeah it's super easy to win as surv yet here I am, dying 10 survivor matches in a row, very often to players worse than me that played cheap. I've never lost 10 killer matches in a row. I also barely find myself affected by second chance perks. If you don't tunnel or slug, you might get the occasional DH or DS activation, but I never even notice when people have Unbreakabke or OTR.
In what way would you like people doing the objective to be punished for doing it? What else should they be doing? There are no other objectives unless the killer has some built-in, like RBT and the lament configuration. I'm all for having more of those secondary interactables.
And clearly what's been shown isn't going to be all there is, forever. If half of this even gets past the ptb, it's going to need constant adjustments, especially in regards to how perks interact. If stats suddenly shift insanely towards survivor, the devs will notice and changes will be made. This is going to be an evolving group of complex changes yet everyone is instantly doom-and-gloom about it.

If they beat you, they weren't worse than you.

Winning doesn't mean you were the most skilled. I've beaten teams that had better players than me on them. The game is killer-sided and one screw up can snowball for a team.
But if someone is incapable of winning without tunneling and slugging, then no, they weren't better than me. I've been killed by killers who can't land basics or specials, lose their chases, get no hookings all match and then get lucky and slug everyone. Their skills were actually trash yet they won.
And it's a team game. If I get three potatoes that doesn't mean the killer was better than me, it means my overall team was worse. Escape rates don't reflect skill, especially with slugging denying the hatch.

Its only unfair if survivor are forced to bring perks to counter play. Killers just need to only play S rank killers and bring gen regression perks. Honestly survivors need something else to do other than gens. As at this point it seems like the game will incentives gen rush perks since survivors get basically all the other perks they need basekit anyway and killers can't really touch them after 2 hooks before they get 6 anyway.

In this update? No. In a future one? Always possible
